I bought some pretty fall looking (fake) flowers to put in vases around the house have some garland and these awful jack o'lantern lights that we put up for the grandbaby who loves them. Made a pumpkin jar light and planted some mums in the planter behind the mailbox. That is probably all I will do. I never really did ANY fall decorating until this year.

OfflineDecorating for fall will be a bit odd this year. We planted a row of Big Max Pumpkins as usual but first they drowned and then the plants that were left did not have any blooms until very late. We finished up with one smallish pumpkin and though I propped it on a board it was eaten into from underneath so the chickens got a treat. We have lots of gourds so I expect those and the marigolds and orange cosmos which have both taken over the borders will have to do. This time of year thoughts turn more to saving what is left in the garden and comfort food. Maybe when it stops raining I will feel a bit more ambitious, cheers Joyce![]()
