OfflineI never knew that you could do this (link below). I do have one question…there are yams and sweet potatoes. In some areas and stores, the term is interchangable. So, then, is it the white or the orange ones that have the edible leaves, or is it both?
It would be so cool to grow these as a houseplant (I have done one before) and get to eat home grown fresh greens at -40. :)

OnlineI googled sweet potatoes and yams and had an enjoyable couple of hours of reading. The terms are used interchangably but they are really quite different in many respects. Yams are not much grown outside of the tropics and sub tropical areas because they require a much longer growing season than sweet potatoes.
