I know this is an old topic, but my husband told me if I could find a good deal on a new pressure canner, I could use some of our tax return money to get one. I know somewhere in this forum someone posted a link with a very good deal for one, but I can't find the link. It was "espresso something" . Anybody know if the deal is still on? Or have another one?
Also seeking advice on what size to get. The average one seems to be 21 1/2 qts. (pts?) Would that be okay for a family of four who may or may not rent a garden plot this year. If not, I'd use it mostly for jellies and canning my left over spaghetti and pizza sauces. I'd rather go bigger in case we get a garden some day than smaller and have to buy a larger one at a later date. Thanks in advance for any help.
Oh, and I'd like All American, mainly because that is what everyone seems to use on here and here is where I will becoming with all my questions. Thanks.

Hey, Cindy! Guess what came to the door for me a little while ago? The box is huge, so I'm waiting for my husband to get home from his evening class to help me open it. It will be a bit before I get to use it as I'm working quite a bit and have let my kitchen get away from me. Everybody cooks, nobody cleans. I need to make some space and haul my canning jars up from the basement before I can get going on this.

Just don't know, I am out of veggie soup, but I have different veggies in the freezer, maybe I'll clean out the freezer and throw a batch together. I can't believe we ran out, several things are always in jars at my house, tomatoes, veggie soup, corn, green beans , jelly and pickles. I have lots of jelly, beets, string beans and corn, but no veggie soup. And this year I will make bread & butter pickles, I only do these every couple of years, but I am out of them too. So much I want to do, so little time!!
