Hi Leahs mom!  I forgot to get back to you until now.  I got the 2244 foodsaver kit w.bags, hose and foodsaver for 74.00 with free shipping from Amazon.

Next I want to get the cannisters so I can re-use other types of jars--not masons.

Thanks for your help!

Where are we going and why are we in a handbasket?

Miki-  If the 30% would make the price good you could use it for the canisters too.  It has to be a "click-through" from the email so I'd have to forward it to you email for it to work.

Thanks anyway, Leahs mom!  I got it too in my email.  If I order anything more before we get moved, DH will kill me so I have to wait.no

I seal my cut lettuce in a jar with my food saver and it lasts for nearly 2 weeks.  Seriously!  It's a great way to have salads all through the week.

No trees were killed in sending this message.  However, a large number of electrons were highly inconvenienced!

I started doing my lettuce that way, too. So convenient.

I (sorta) have a farm in Africa.
