I use the pots that i am not planting in – i turn them upside down and right side up -

stacking them.  Saucers, painted, plain, clay, metal : I usually try to end with a plant on top

or at least something growing in dirt…even if it is seeds…

Cups and saucers can be had from Goodwill type places – odds that don't go together -

go together in the garden. Cracked are good because the water won't stay inside.

The fairies and little people like the decorations you put there for them!

I really like the clay pots arranged like that — I know where I could put one like it. The clay pots seem to go better with my more utilitarian planting. How about planting with herbs!

I like those too.  May try that if I ever get out of this house and into the garden.

I am so going to do this!  It is cute cute x 2! (or 6!)  I'm going to put strawberries on one tower and try vinca and sedum in one by my patio – which I cleaned thoroughly this afternoon.

You've got those stacks looking very good!  We all have to save a bunch of stuff like that, so why NOT make art from it as it waits it's repurposing??  Great plan!

What a cute idea…I know I have one rebar out there somewhere although I don't think it is long enough. Wouldn't it be cute to stick a watering can or a bird house on top….I want to do a bottle tree but I don't have any bottles…CryI really like the blue bottles…wondering if they are wine bottles?

Sometimes,I live in my own little world, but it's okay because they know me here.

Deb, I've seen bottles on craigs list quite often in the freebies (may not be the blue ones)………….  I've seen some blue wine bottles, think of all the fun you could have emptying those!  I've also found some in the dollor stores, too.

I drink a Riesling wine that comes in a blue bottle, do you need me to drink a few for you???  Want to say it's Schmitt Schnoor, not sure, don't have any right now.

Theres also a bottled water in a pretty blue bottle. I had a bottle tree for several years. I had used the trunk of one of our christmas trees. In my brainyness, I just dug a hole and planted the trunk a couple feet in the dirt. It rotted and fell over. Bad idea, so Im hoping John will make me one of rebar, something cool looking. My sil has 2 in her yard. One regular bottles and one with small clear antique jars, it is really cute.

I am going to try this but I think I will use a bamboo pole instead of the rebar …. easier for me to get.

I think the colored bottles would be prettier than a bud vase on the bottom too.

Been gone for a few days, these ideas are great, I love the tilted pots, couldn't figure out how to do it, makes sense now.  I have a bottle tree, I found an old cedar log in the creek at my parents old house place (no house now).  I put it in a large clay pot, spray painted the pot  blue and Hubby put long screws in the log.  I couldn't find blue vases or bottles, so I got some cheepies from Michaels and spray painted them blue.  It's not authentic, but at a distance, its very prettty, so many different shapes.  Some people put their bottles hanging from branches, but I just slipped them on the long screws.   I gotta find me some rebar!! and hit the thrift shops.

Don't cry because it's over—smile because it happened!
