I can't take the credit for this as I saw it on another site.

To use the centres out of toilet rolls and kitchen rolls as biodegradeable seed pots but block the bottom end off with a used tea bag.  I'll certainly be trying that this year.Happy Flower

There's lots more ideas in the comments at the end of the post….

Suzanne has done this, and several of us have tried it, Rose!  Check out her blog entry here: http://suzannemcminn.com/blog/…..rter-pots/

They do seem to work very well, and certainly are cheap to make!

Forgot to add, that the teabag addition is new, and sounds like a very good idea, if one uses teabags…   Hello

Quite all right, Rose!  This is a great time to bring up the making of the seed pots.  There are a lot of new people here who would also not have seen them in the archives, so you are doing us all a service by pointing our attention to them.   Yes

Besides, some of us will really like that idea of adding a teabag to the bottom of the seed pot.  That could help keep the potting mix from seeping out the bottom, and add a bit of nutrition for the young seedlings.

Excellent idea using a tea bag!

And don't worry, it takes quite a bit to work all the way back to day 1 of the blog!  then through all the forum posts  Smile
