One of my favorite gardening/tomato moment's for 2011, was when my 2 year old grandson picked and tasted his first tomato. He picked a ripened Sungold Cherry tomato, popped it in his mouth and the juice and seeds dribbled down his little chin. His little hand was picking and popping them in his mouth as fast as he could. I had to stop him, so he wouldnt end up with a bathroom problem later..LOL! And his parents, who are fresh tomato haters, said he wouldnt like them..Hehe.

How cute! Great to hear from you! I had my grands addicted to fresh tomatoes too. My youngest who is 12 finally fell in love with them too. It probably helped that she gardened with me last year. Cherokee Purples are her fave! We just move from the country in MO to the city in KS. Can you say container garden???? Yikes! happy-flower

No kids here (yet) but I do have a french bulldog who loves his fruits and vegetables! If you thought you had to worry about critters getting your garden, you haven't seen this lil devil! He loves to eat the strawberries, right off the plant! And cherry tomatoes as well!!
