I'm not sure if I'm posting this is the right thread, but here goes:  I'm looking for a recipe for blueberry monkey bread; do any of you have this recipe?  The one I'm looking for calls for homemade biscuits....I lost this recipe two years ago and would love to make it again!  Thanks!Chef

I moved your question to a whole new topic Hollie, lots of us have this sort of question from time to time.  Here's the link to one recipe here:  http://suzannemcminn.com/forum/just-recipes/monkey-bread/

Something you can do is look over the  "Community Cookbook" that is on the right side-bar, the picture with all the cakes lined up to tempt us ALL!  Surprised

Once you look through all those recipes, you'll be in recipe overload!  In the 'just recipes' thread, there are often even more recipes for a single title.  Part of the fun we have here is going into recipe overload.  Mmmmmmmm  Mmmmmm! Pink Rabbit

HI Hollie- Is this a scratch recipe or does it use Pillsbury biscuits? Sounds good.

Every search I made for this turned up something using store bought biscuits.  I don't see why you can't use home made buscuits though.  I got it from http://www.cooksrecipes.com, which has lots of good things.

Is this anything like what you're remembering?  If you can tell us more about it, maybe it will remind someone of something they've seen.

Blueberry Monkey Bread

2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
4 (10-ounce) packages refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1 1/4 cups fresh or frozen blueberries , divided use
3/4 cup (1 1/4 sticks) butter or margarine
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Preheat oven to 350*F (175*C). Thoroughly grease a 10 x 4-inch tube pan.
  2. Mix 2/3 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. Cut biscuits in quarters. Roll each piece in sugar mixture.
  4. Arrange about one-fourth of the sugared-biscuit pieces and 1/4 cup of the blueberries in an even layer in pan. Repeat three more times.
  5. In saucepan melt butter; stir in brown sugar, the remaining 1/4 cup blueberries and cinnamon. Cook, stirring frequently until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour hot syrup over biscuit/blueberry mixture in pan.
  6. Bake for 65 minutes or until done. Turn out onto serving plate.

Makes 8 to 10 servings.

It called for pillsbury, but I whipped up a batch of homemade ones.

Oh this sounds so good!  Haha  All I seem to want to do lately is eat, and I think I'm going to have to try this!
