Yesterday it was 4 loaves of whole wheat bread, and 4 loaves of banana walnut bread. Today I hope to make several dozen whole wheat/flax english muffins, and a couple of loaves of italian bread. If we don't lose power, that is. Lots of heavy snow and ice here today. I also would love to visit Theresa, save me a brownie!happy-flowerhappy-flower

One loaf of sourdough, cinnamon raisin and 2 of English muffin bread.  It's cold and everything is covered in ice so having the oven on is making the kitchen toasty.  Couldn't get to work because our road was closed so I'm taking advantage of being home.

Going to try the chocolate cake again today.  Not paying attention yesterday and baked a 9 inch layer in an 8 inch pan.  This was not pretty!  Now I will spend part of the day cleaning the mess out of the bottom of the oven before I can even turn on the automatic cleaning program.  Ugh.  It isn't easy being me.  LOLno

Has anyone tried Rose's Hearth Bread on the back of the Gold Medal flour sack.  It is delicious, we love it.  Gonna make some today!

I plan on making over night cinnamon rolls later.  Hubby is coming off of midnights and he will appreciate them tomorrow.

Thanks Cheryl.  It was a much better day.  The oven is bright and shiny and the cake is fantastic.  It is chocolate with a little chili powder and a drizzle of chocolate icing. .  So, so good.  Going to make cat treats tomorrow.

Made Grandmother bread earlier…getting ready to put some overnight cinnamon rolls in the fridge. We better get this snow out of here or I am going to gain sooooooo much weight! This kind of weather makes me think I am the "Queen of all That's Baked"! eating

I stayed home from work Wednesday because of the snowstorm. So I did the only thing I could do in a snowstorm. I made doughnuts! The recipe was from a 1921 cookbook, and they were so good.

And I agree with you Miss Judy, all this snow makes me do more baking, and I don't want to gain any more weight.

A crustless pumpkin pie.  it is excellent and has a great flavor and cuts very well.  Today I am going to put it in muffin tins though to see if I can make individual ones with whipped cream on top and maybe some chocolate or nuts.

I have a batch of English muffins in the works.

Pumpkin pie filling is just a custard. If you grease and flour the muffin cups they should dump out easily.
