PETE:

If you are looking for buttermilk powder, you can find it for pennies at the Amish bulk stores, I store it in my empty peanut butter jars, I use it in all of my baking , I always add it to the milk called for in a recipe  since we use only 1 % in our house.  If you cant find it let me know, I can send you some.

Rosina: WikiHow and youtube offer some videos showing how to fold in egg whites. It's easy once you get the hang of it…but it is difficult to interpret written direx. I didn't get it until I saw it done. Also, the eggs are much more likely to streak if they are overbeaten. Be sure to beat just to soft peaks (or whatever recipe specifies) so that the egg whites don't become too dry to easily incorporate. And don't skip the tempering step, it helps, too.

Planning on baking some bread and getting some soup on to simmer,  It's a cold windy day here so having the oven on will be nice, and soup on a cold day is always welcome.

Made a hundred dog biscuits and banana bread (why do I keep buying bananas?) and toying with the idea of pepperoni rolls or trying a new-fangled cookie idea I have.  And then there's the pate a choux recipe I've wanted to try as a basis for doughnuts.  They sound good.

Brrr.  Cold outside!

Let me retract that pepperoni roll endeavor…at least until the recipe comes back to FBR?  Click on the recipe in my recipe box and it's…empty!  The picture is there, just not the recipe.  Anyone have any ideas?  This makes me want 'em more…

You guys are making me hungry!  Today I baked chocolate cherry bars because there is this woman at church that makes them and they are out of this world…  well, the recipe I found is not anything to write home about.  She mentioned hers takes a cake mix box, so I had hoped the recipe I found was it, but these are not as good as hers.  I'm disapointed.  :(

Donna, we are having left over chili.

dee, the woman at church is one of those kinds that says, it's easy, just put this and that in a box of chocolate cake, then she can't remember what all she puts in it.  lol

I would love to see what your recipe is.  Thank you!   :)

Just found friends coming in from out of town for a visit Monday morning, so I made a pineapple upside down cake and a carrot cake is in the oven.
