I made blueberry muffins this morning, using Suzanne's QuickMix. Very good I must say! I did have to bake them a little longer because my blueberries were frozen.

Remember, if it rains on your picnic it's also raining on your garden!

I made my boyfriend's favorite cookies to take with him on a long bike ride today:

 http://www.twopeasandtheirpod.com/toasted-coconut-chocolate-chunk-cookies/

(I use 1/2 white and 1/2 whole wheat flour, and sub 1/2 c. dark chocolate chips and 1/2 c. toffee chips for the chocolate chunks).  Also made him a couple of banana sandwiches on whole wheat Grandmother bread; that should be enough carbs to keep him going for a while!

I edited STH's post because the link was not complete, well, it was, she put it in right but it wasn't showing up properly.  Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to work right either!  I'm sorry but to get to it you'll have to copy and past the link into your browser.  I'll fiddle with it to try to fix it, but it does work as is, thank you for your understanding!!!

I thought it looked a little screwy after I put it in!  Anyway, thanks for your help, BuckeyeGirl!

I have a cinnamon chocolate bundt cake cooling on the counter. A pizza yet to be made for dinner. A cookie tin full of breakfast cookies. (Well, maybe not so full now, 'hungry ) and sent my hubster off on a kayak camping trip with 2 pans of my home made "Cliff Bars".

Made a fresh mango pie with homemade crust.  Low sugar and lower gluten--used cornmeal mix for crust.

Where are we going and why are we in a handbasket?

Made chocolate chip pancakes with fresh sliced strawberries!

Then made whole wheat raisin bread, a staple around here!

Still working on using my bread starter to make something in the bread machine. Trying to fine tune how much yeast to use.clover

Had 2 uber ripe bananas so mixed up a recipe and threw it in the quick bread setting on the bread machine. Turned out pretty good, excellent with butter and microwaved!

Joell, that's so funny! I JUST NOW threw butter and sugar in for oatmeal raisin.  And I don't have enough chocolate chips to make a batch of cookies so I'm just eating them, sans the fattening cookie coating. Who needs all those extra cookie calories anyway?  Right? chef

I made Suzanne's biscuit twists tonight, with homemade spiced pear butter as the filling.  As I'm mixing them up, into the kitchen comes my honey and he says, "you know, you could probably throw some chocolate in there, too . . . ."  So they had pear butter inside and dark chocolate chips mixed into the batter; I didn't think the combo would work, but it did!

Found an old copy of my Grandmother's cookie recipe. I remember them being both crunchy and chewy. Wish me luck that they turn out the way her's did!
