OnlineMonday was my daughter's 30th Birthday. She will be home this weekend to celebrate with us. I am baking Chocolate chocolate chip cookies today that I will freeze (so the resident cookie monster and his wife won't eat them all before only child comes home). And I will be baking a Cinnamon Chocolate Bundt cake with Ermine frosting for her birthday cake.

How lovey! That sounds delicious! I'll be in Houston in a couple of months…maybe you can save me a slice!

That cake sounds delicious, would you share your recipe with us on Farn Bell? I do a lot of baking and bundt cakes are the best, always so good and moist with out a lot of frosting.
Thank you.

Onlinemammajoseph, I would gladly save you a slice of my daughter's cake when you come to Houston, however; she will be taking the cake home with her so no leftovers to save. Give me a days notice, and I will bake one for you and we can have some fresh iced tea or lemonade and cake. I am only 8 miles west of Sugar Land. ![]()
I will put the recipe up. I thought I had already done so. Normally I would not frost this cake with the Ermine Frosting. It is just too too much. But it is a request from the Birthday Girl who always enjoys the frosting as much if not more than the cake. A simple chocolate glaze is perfect on it. I will post it in the next day or two.

OfflineHAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
This morning I am baking heart shaped biscuits for my sweet Hubby"s breakfast, and then I am baking a very dark chocolate cake, splitting each lay and filling them with a cream filling, making a four layer cake, then frosting it with a dark fudge frosting and toasted pecans on the top of the cake—so good.

OfflineLots of baking this morning, we have bad weather moving our way, so I need to make "comfort" goodies.
Baking 3 loaves of bread, pan of cinnamon rolls, shell for fresh strawberry pie, and some cookies, oatmeal and peanut butter. Our dear neighbor is having surgery this morning, and hopefully will be home by evening so we will be taking him a basket of goodies and some vegetable soup.

OnlineGot some andouille sausage, shrimp and the rest of the fixings for gumbo tomorrow. Hubby wants french bread with it. Got the starter going on the counter for over nite and will have three large loaves done by dinner time. Left over bread will go in the asparagus bread pudding in the next day or two. Sliced fresh strawberries with just a tiny dab of whipped cream on top for the sweet. Need to cool the taste buds after the rather spicy gumbo! I will be making another cheesecake soon. I bought a new Parrish Magic Pan and need to check it out. My old springform pan was dented and beginning to rust. The new pan is all aluminum. Easier to clean as well without latches.

OfflineI tried a Pinterest recipe for oatmeal in the crockpot overnight. Umm, not a huge success, to say the least. Then I remembered Alton Brown has a bread recipe using leftover oatmeal. It's rising right now, so hope it turns out ok. Soaking the cooked-on oatmeal out of the crockpot is going to be an all day project, I can tell.
