Okay, I was very tired last night, I went to make butter in the food processor, LIKE I ALWAYS do, for some reason, the cream started flying out all over the kitchen, surprised stopped the machine, poured it into some mason jars and had everyone shake.  The next disaster was the yogurt, I always make in the Crock Pot, heated the milk, let it cool, turned the crock pot on warm, just to heat up the crock a little bit, 12a.m. put the milk mixture and yogurt into the crock pot, wrapped it in a towel and went to bed.  6a.m. staggered out of bed to the coffee pot, took a look at the yogurt in the crock pot and the crock was HOTbug-eyed lifted the lid, the mixture was sort of like yogurt, but a little curdled.  I forgot to turn the crock pot off when I went to bedcensored milk 10 dollars a GALLON! double batch of YOGURT, you get the picture here, so in my despair, I decided to drain it through some cheese cloth in the refrigerator, now I have something like yogurt cheese, only a little bit curdled.   The taste is fine, I had infused some vanilla beans in the milk and added some honey.  NOW what do I do with this STUFF?  Thinking maybe a cheese cake? out of this stuff.  Any help would be appreciated!  Thank You

Could you make a fruit dip out of some of it? Maybe any dip recipe that calls for cream cheese would work.

That is a great idea Miss Judy, the yogurt cheese is like ricotta its not creamy like cream cheese, not sure if it is suppose to be that way, probably not since I cooked it all night in the crock pot.   To bad I put honey and vanilla in it, I could have used it for Lasagna, but the fruit dip sounds great.  I think I need to stay away from the kitchen for a few dayslaugh

Well, lizzie, I am giving you a run for the title this morning!

It's official – I'm an idiot!!  After putting water in the "basket" of the bread maker I proceeded to start dumping flour into the well of the breadmaker!!!  Uhh, not really such a good idea after all…    poke

I feel your pain, lizzie.  I've had a rough week in the kitchen myself.  Thankfully my son saved the yogurt and bread.  He has the magic touch.

Unfortunately, he was not near by when somehow I knocked down the bucket of milk.  I think it was the most milk that I've milked!  Did I mention I knocked it over in the cabin that has indoor/outdoor carpet in the kitchen area?  hissy-fit  My son heard my screech from outside.  He comes in and looks at the floor and me.  I say, "I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry."  He replied, "Laugh."  He's so much like his father!  So I laughed and Mattie Rose (7yrs.) helped me dance over the towels to mop it all up.    It turned into a very fun time.  All of it is definitely memorable!

PS—We use the yogurt that doesn't turn out the best for smoothies.  Well actually while dh is gone, all of our yogurt turns into smoothies, but it all started from the first messed up batch of yogurt.

Yes Pete, I do know what you mean!  I am sure it was human error with the cream incident for butter making in the food processor, filled it to full I am sure.  Oh SarahGrace, I can only imagine how you felt with the Milk being spilled all over the carpet.  I have to go into the kitchen today and cook so its kind of scary as to what will happen next.  I think I might have done that too Pete when I had a bread machine.  Not sure if its old age with me now, need to really focus on what I am doing, I can get easily distracted!  Dogs, cats, chickens, and of course HUMANS always seem to want something when I am in the kitchen.  It does not matter what time it is, or if they have just eaten a meal, the kitchen is the most popular spot in the house, the hubby was watching when the cream incident happened, and he ran for his life when he saw itspinning-devil flying out everywhere, he did offer to help clean it up, but I was in NO mood for help.
