It came out really good!! I'm going to post a photo of it tomorrow for my daily farm photo. It was easy to fix, too! What I ended up doing was sauteeing a sliced onion, then browning the round steak (in a little melted lard) after dredging in flour with some seasoned salt in a big iron skillet. Then I put the onions on top and put some of the cream of beef soup (from the homemade mix) on top for the gravy! I baked it in the iron skillet, too.

Hey Sandra! Welcome to the forum! Stop by the Welcome page and say 'HEY' in the Introduce Yourself thread! We're a friendly bunch here. (or so I say!)
After you dredge it in some flour and brown it a bit, bake for probably about 325 for an hour or a little more. Make sure the lid of the pot fits pretty tight and keep an eye on the liquid which will form while it cooks. Don't be afraid to add a little broth or even water if you need to. It will be fall apart tender. Thicken up the drippings and have some potatoes or good Grandmothers Bread to soak it up with!

All this talk of round steak made me pull an arm roast, a thin one, from the freezer. It's in the oven now, with onions, a pint of shiitake mushroom soup (wvcanner's recipe), and a bit of water. Had to cover the iron skillet with foil! It's at 300 degrees for right now, subject to change later.

Well, I did it. With lots of help from Suzanne and BuckeyeGirl. The Round Steak was done to perfection in my new and newly seasoned iron skillet (which cleaned up like a charm afterwards). This was a trial run, as I will serve this for company next week. Definitely made the menu for guests! Loved the instant condensed cream soup.
P. S. I have a temporary password, how do I change it to my permanent password?
Thanks so much

There you go! :snoopy:
Ours turned out great as well. It reminded me of Mom's, and baked steak, and something brand new, all at the same time!
