I have a birthday party on Sunday, and I thought Three bean salad goes well at a potluck.

I have a hard time getting the dressing to turn out well--I use olive oil and cider vinegar, but it either turns out flat and flavorless or oily.  I like using green beans, garbanzo and black beans for the salad--and it looks like a nice color arrangement in the bowl.

My budget plan is NOT getting a cart when I go to the store.

Well, I can't help you with this Monica, but I wanted to say Wave....haven't seen you around in a while!

Hang on, I have a good one – I hate kidney beans so I use green, wax, and garbanzos in mine. This is an old TNT recipe and I get asked for it often – watch Just Recipes for it ….

I moved back from pittsburgh last week. . .I felt like an 8 year-old at summer camp. . .Hissy FitHOMESICK to the max.  I just hope that I gained enough experience to be competitive in the job market back here in Ohio.

The recipe is exactly what I hoped for!Hungry

Hi Mighty Chicken - this salad might not be exactly what you're looking for but I absolutely love this one and make it all the time.  You could substitute in your favourite beans but don't omit the corn because this makes it really good.

Hope this helps and have a nice party!

Black Bean and Corn Salad

A great "make-ahead" salad:

1 Can black beans – rinsed and drained

1 Can Corn - drained

½ Cup Parsley – Chopped

½ Red Bell Pepper – Chopped

½ Green Bell Pepper – Chopped

1-2 Green Onions – Chopped

Dressing:

4 Tbsp. Oil

6 Tbsp. Red Wine Vinegar

2 Tbsp. Soya Sauce

1 tsp. Dijon Mustard

1 tsp. Ginger

That does look good Rosella! I may have to try that one very soon.  I'm going to copy/move it to the bean salad recipe page, hopefully we'll have plenty there for people to choose from!  THANKS!
