A couple of sweet potato pies. I meant to do it yesterday but got bogged down in bread and picking a few things in the garden….
I really like Sweet Potato pie better than Pumpkin Pie and it is basically the same except for the punpkin/potato part.
Have you ever made one? I'll post a picture when it comes out of the oven…

I LOVE sweet potato pie! Sweet potato pie was the first pie recipe I ever posted on my blog. You can find it here, with a funny little story about my Georgia:

If a little old lady in a $200 Aries K stops in front of MY house and opens her trunk, I’ll be thrilled! What a great story Suzanne. That handing out bags of sweet potatoes at a visitation is a classic at any down-home sort of visitation, I can perfectly easily see one of my second cousins or a neighbor doing exactly that. *cough* never me of course! Nuh uh! Not me!! Never!

If tomatoes are a fruit, then isn’t ketchup technically a
smoothie?

Sweet potato pie is one of my favorites as well. Georgia sound just like my little lady friend I help take care of. Such a sweet giving soul but will set you straight in a minute!
There are 12 pecan(prounounced pee-con) trees at my Mama's house. Every fall we picked up pecans every single day…off and on all day long. Mama shelled every single pecan and put an ad in the paper to sell. That was her "egg money" or that is what she called it. As the years passed I was the only one that still went over and helped her pick up pecans and shell them out. Now that Mama is gone, I still go over there and pick up her pecans, shell out what I want to keep, vacuum bag them and put them in the freezer. I still have buckets of pecans, so guess what I am doing? Bagging them up in wal-mart plastic bags for me to give to friends and family. Mama's legacy is still going for at least this year.
If it doesn't storm like the weatherman keeps threatening us about, David and I will get out and clear the sides of our property because it is over grown. We have a huge pile of limbs and such to burn but it might be too windy to do that. All the nice straight limbs we have laid to the side to make more mulch for my rose beds. It sure doesn't look cloudy or stormy like it is going to storm.
