I just bought 2 bushels last week.  They were $14/half bushel for Red Haven.  Gorgeous and big.  I also got a bushel of seconds that were $7/half bushel.  At the produce auction they've been selling for $15 – $20 a half bushel.

I paid $20 for a quarter bushel.  It made five quarts of pie filling.  Due to the early spring followed by a late frost, peaches are rare here and the price is high.

I just bought a bushel of Baby Gold for $24.95 yesterday. They are huge and very tasty. I am working them up today.

Good morning everyone-canning peaches this morning. found some with a few bruises on them , alittle cheaper for me. Don't care- getting low in the pantry with peaches. Does anyone can peaches the easy way? Take the clean jars, put 1/4 cup of sugar ineach one,tap water, hot lids, into the canner for 20 min. Easy, peasey!sun
