What a good friend!  When I broke the carafe, the neighbor said to try "cowboy coffee"  I guess I'm a wimp…….it didn't taste so good to me!

Someone around here is an absolute addict when it comes to coffee, so we almost always have a spare in reserve!  We are isolated enough that it is not always convenient to get one the same day it goes out.  We have also found that since we started doing that, the coffee maker seems to last longer…

If you count breakfast as the first meal of the day, today it was a crabcake sandwich, grabbed from our favorite fishmonger on our way home from picking up a surprise I will post about elsewhere!!

It's a tad late in the day for it, but we are finally getting around to breakfast!  Oatmeal with cranberries, brown sugar and vanilla soy milk.  That should take us to dinner…

Pete, doesn't sound too late for this house!!!  Breakfast is usually anywhere from 9 to 11…..sometimes 12.  We're baaaaaad!  We figured that for years hubby or I rushed out of the house early, so we're making up for it!

I finally got a chance to eat some breakfast and it was fantastic.  I had oatmeal with raspberries and brown sugar.  What made it extra special was that I made it with goat milk.  My friend that I do a goat share with is now milking enough for me to get some—–I received 4 quarts of goodness yesterday afternoon. Shimmy

We had Waffles of Insane Goodness (crazy name, I know) from Aretha Frankenstien's (it's a recipe from FoodTV.com).  My hubby finally convinced me to get a waffle maker that arrived yesterday.  It looks like we'll be having waffles for a few days…….oh well!  Yes

Blueberry pancakes with real Maine maple syrup! And bacon.

Remember, if it rains on your picnic it's also raining on your garden!
