Hi Mamjhk, Crispy Crowns are made by Ore-Ida, they are similar to tater-tots, but we think  they taste much better and bake up much more crispy than Tots..

Finding it more difficult to make posts is this segment of the forum, they seems to vanish after one day.

Tonight we are having roasted chicken, baked potatoes and salad.

We are having something with sausage in it.  Now sure what kind of mess I will make.  Bought some sausage patties at the store the other day and used part of them with pancakes and sausage.  Neither one of us care for the flavor (didn't help that I overcooked them, either) so I plan to mix them with something else.  Thinking probably spaghetti and meat sauce (quick and easy) with garlic toast.

It has been so miserable hot here, nothing sounds good, so tonight we are having bean patties and salad. I use a can of white beans, drain them well, mash them and add finely chopped onions and peppers (your choice, I am using jalapeno, and a bit of flour to bind) fry in your choice of oil, till nice and brown,we like ours topped with a bit of hot sauce and a bit of sour cream.

happy-flowerThank you, I hope we do see some of that rain, it has been very dry here, but I hate to complain because of all of the bad weather in parts of the country, but we do need a bit of moisture. It has been extremely hot here, enough that many of the schools are releasing students early, this is supposed to be the last day of the intense heat, 93 degrees. I don't feel like doing much cooking and no baking at all, we will drop nearly 30 degrees in the coming days. I am really looking forward to that change.

Glad I could help.  We were also badly in need of moisture, however, there was one town west of here that reportedly got 5 inches of rain yesterday.  Needless, to say they had some flooding issues.  Not sure just how much we got but think it was probably  an inch or more.

Tonight is going to be subs made from a couple of sweet Italian sausages found in the freezer. I cut up peppers and onions, made a pouch from heavy duty foil put the vegs inside and sealed it well, put that in the table top oven and will let take bake in until done. The sausages will be removed from the casing; flatten out and fried, then placed on a sub bun with the vegs and topped with provolone cheese, wrapped in foil and back into the oven.

Anything with sausage will always be delicious, mamajhk. Though I have to admit, that spaghetti and meat sauce with garlic toast sounds very enticing. :)

Tonight we are having tacos, I need to use some of the small peppers and tomatoes from the garden. Unless we have some rain soon, the garden is finished, we had the best tomatoes this year that I can ever remember.

happy-flowerToday I am making a very large pot of chili--Texas style, no beans. Tonight we will have Frito Pie using some of the chili and the rest divided and put in the freezer.
