Pepperoni, cheese and green pepper pizza with salad.  It was a long day at work, not time for anything fancy.  I got the idea from the post on freezing pizza crusts.  Thanks.

Did I hear a nana nana boo boo in there? I so love turkey …and gravy. I may have to get a turkey before Thanksgiving! Turkeys have been so high I haven't had one for a looooong time.

I hope you enjoyed your meal ….cry.

We are roasting a turkey on Friday, so I'm looking forward to dinner.  We are making turkey vegetable soup on Saturday and then canning it.  Goodness in a jar

Turkey casserole tonight with steamed veggies, and maybe a dessert!  20 pounds of turkey and only three of us at home, so I will have to get creative.wave

Country fried steaks, English peas, and baby squash casserole with the last of the summer squash. I really hate to see the end of the farmer's market.  But, I got a cold frame for my birthday, so maybe I can grow some fresh stuff--just have to decide what (not yellow crooknecks tho').

It's hubby's birthday so it's a special request dinner.  We're splurging on shrimp scampi served over home made fettuccini noodles.  He want a sweet potato pie for his dessert.  I think a little salad, too.

Made enchiladas using Suzanne's chili gravy (that I had canned – worked out great) last night.  Probably have leftovers tonight.

They are sooooo good!

Tonight's dinner is what was suppose to be last nights dinner before we lost power.

Mushrooms and escargots in a butter sauce, homemake rye caraway bread, baked acorn squash, potatoes sliced and ringed in a cast iron fry pan with onions stuffed in between some of the slices. I need to bake something up with some apples so that will probably be an apple crisp for dessert.

Making some sheppards pies with leftovers, but those will be going into the freezer.
