Did I hear a nana nana boo boo in there? I so love turkey …and gravy. I may have to get a turkey before Thanksgiving! Turkeys have been so high I haven't had one for a looooong time.

We are roasting a turkey on Friday, so I'm looking forward to dinner. We are making turkey vegetable soup on Saturday and then canning it. Goodness in a jar

Country fried steaks, English peas, and baby squash casserole with the last of the summer squash. I really hate to see the end of the farmer's market. But, I got a cold frame for my birthday, so maybe I can grow some fresh stuff–just have to decide what (not yellow crooknecks tho').

It's hubby's birthday so it's a special request dinner. We're splurging on shrimp scampi served over home made fettuccini noodles. He want a sweet potato pie for his dessert. I think a little salad, too.

Made enchiladas using Suzanne's chili gravy (that I had canned – worked out great) last night. Probably have leftovers tonight.

The family came over to help prep for Thanksgiving Dinner. Of course we have to eat tonight sooo…. everyone brought supper…chili, potato soup, beef barley veggie soup,,,sandwiches…veggies and dip…cheese cake , apple strussel cake…choc chip cookies and someone got into the lemon pie for tomorrow! It was good!

Maple smoked susage,home-fried potatoes,scrambled eggs. I'm too tired to worry about a gourmet supper tonite. I have to bake a pumpkin cake and I'm done tonite! Yeah!

Tonight's dinner is what was suppose to be last nights dinner before we lost power.
Mushrooms and escargots in a butter sauce, homemake rye caraway bread, baked acorn squash, potatoes sliced and ringed in a cast iron fry pan with onions stuffed in between some of the slices. I need to bake something up with some apples so that will probably be an apple crisp for dessert.
Making some sheppards pies with leftovers, but those will be going into the freezer.
