happy-flowerHi everyone–for dinner tonight we had BBQ sandwiches made from Suzanne's recipe. I  did a pork butt in the crock pot– oh is that stuff good! I had a bit of left over jello salad with fruits and nuts for desert.

For a break this evening, we had take out pizza.  It was a great change of pace.  Holiday food is soooo wonderful, especially with all the delicious leftovers, but the pizza was great!

Had homemade meatloaf with mixed veggies.  It was so good.  Hubby made stuffing to go with it too.

Canning and dehydrating will now become a part of my life.

We had thick slices of homemade bread buttered and grilled with pepperoni  and mozzarella  cheese and then sprinkled with garlic salt. Served up with dipping sauce and a vegetable plate of broccoli, green onions, cukes, and tomatoes. Yum/

Christy, that sounds good to me!  I like a grilled cheese with mozzarella and pepperoni!

Last night, we had a special dinner for our anniversary.  Thank goodness I planned a nice dinner at home cause we're in the middle of a snow storm!  We had surf and turf.  I had never put lobster tails on the grill and they were fabulous!  hungry

Wow!  Everyone's recent dinners sound just great!!

We are having baked rotini (the wheels) with Bolognese Sauce,  My experiment with canning it was less than stellar, so we have 4 quarts of it to either use up quickly or freeze.

Maybe having this sauce will get me to finally, at long last, get out that pasta attachment for the KA?  Well, I've gotten it out several times, but maybe this time I'll get it out and do something with it other than fondle it??

Kielbasa Stew with garlic bread.  While that was cooking, I got hungry for pimento cheese, so there is some of that for munching as well.

I feel really cold although it's 29°  So I'm throwing a hambone in a pot of dried peas. I love me some pea soup. There's a sliver of stilton for a snack…oh, and the last of the pferrnusse (so stale they HAVE to be eaten dipped in brandy!)  It's a treat for working all weekend.—not complaining…it's the first work in many months)

Cold here too brrr and I put navy beans to soak yesterday and cooked them this morning with the New Year's ham bone and scraps. YUM! Has been a while since we had soupbeans. Corn muffins too, but I ate my beans and ham over buttered bread with diced onions, and for lunch.

Thinking macaroni and tomatoes with a corn muffin might be my dinner.

Sauerkraut and polish sausage tonight…. we've had soups and stews all week while the snow storm was going on.
