I have 4 khaki campbell ducks. I have 2 drakes and 2 hens. I have a little dog house that I cleaned out and put hay in. For months the older hen was laying her eggs in the doghouse. Then the younger hen started laying eggs and for a few weeks she laid them in the doghouse too. Now no one is laying eggs in the dog house.

I started seeing that they were losing feathers and figured they were molting and just weren't laying eggs but then my daughter saw a bunch of eggs over by the fence where I thought the ducks couldn't even get to. I found 10 eggs there. So I moved the dog house over to that area and for the past few days I can't find any eggs at all. I've searched our yard (which isn't that big) and cannot find them. What in the world is going on? Any ideas? The ducks are between 6-8 months old. I can't use the eggs if I find a big clutch of them because they've been sitting out in the rain and the grass/dirt/mud. Ack!
