Cousin Sheryl, you paint a very vivid picture with your story telling.

As JOJO stated...a cartoon/comic strip for sure.

I too have just found these entries, and would love to read more.

Can absolutely see your dad in the kitchen. That's where I would have had to have been. Since it would have been rude to just bust out laughing at the "smarmy individual".

Animals are good judges of character. I've come to trust in them more than humans these days.

Thanks for these posts

Cousin Sheryl, I love your stories!  Keep telling them!

We have a cat somewhat like Billy Tom.  Her name is Bad Kitty and she's pictured on my avatar.  Bad Kitty got her name from being, well, a BAD KITTY.  It was the only appropriate name for her.

Bad Kitty has more personality than most people.  She is QUEEN of our house and allows us to live here.  My husband thinks shes someone who has been reincarnated as a cat.  Bad Kitty was abandoned as a kitten when we found her.  We brought her home and set her down on the floor.  She looked right and left, kind of sniffed her nose as if to say, "Yep, this will do" and made a bee-line for the cat dish.  Our other cat, Helga, was none too happy but eventually they got along.

Bad Kitty and Billy Tom would have made a "DYNAMIC DUO" for sure. AND, they sure can tell when someone doesn't like cats.  It's like a magnet...bee-line right for that person.

Thanks Cousin Sheryl for your cat tales or should I say "tails"?   laugh  Keep 'um coming!!

BUMP!
I had forgotten about these stories, but when I saw them again I reread and giggled again. Cats are so funny to watch.
Please, please dear Cousin Sheryl , may we have some more???

How have I missed these stories!! As a non cat person-these stories are horrifying!! Very vivid and true to life, I believe all cats spend a good part of the day plotting their owners death. I feel like there is a cat crawling up the back of my chair right now!

I too just found these cat stories and thoroughly enjoyed reading them.  We have a two year old gray tiger named Charlie whom we love to pieces and he is such a joy, the lord and master of our household.  Spoiled rotten?  You bet he is!  You know those Cat's Meow toys advertised on TV?  A friend of ours gave him one for Christmas and Charlie loved playing with it although he was a bit rough with pouncing on it, dragging it across the floor by the tail and shredding the fabric.  In a little over a week we replaced the batteries twice until the motor burned out.  We felt sorry because you could tell he really missed it so we went out and bought him another one that lasted only two days so that went back to the store (luckily they took it back) and we got another one.  To make a long story short he's now on the seventh one since Christmas and I can't even begin to say how many batteries we've had to buy.  Maybe this will be the last one?  Don't count on it, he has us wrapped around his little paw!
