Cindy P. I wonder about you, why don't you have your own Blog? You spend so much time here. I think you are a real asset to Suzanne with all of your wonderful recipes and fill in stuff you do for her. Maybe I just answered my own question. I see you as a real BLESSING to her and us. Thank you for all your time etc.
I do have my own blog…not as big as Suzanne's (NOWHERE near it! LOL!), but I have one. Click on the little globe thingy right above this post…to the right of date and time.
And thank you for appreciating it

Hi, My name is Becky. I am currently living in Northern Idaho in a town called Grangeville. I stumbled upon CITR while looking for ideas for canning. I have been hooked every since. I live with my hubby and our only child Braxton who is a 10 year old yellow lab (who is VERY spoiled). I enjoy canning, baking and gardening. I hope to have our garden area fenced this year, so I can have a garden instead of fodder for the deer.

Hi I am Karen from southern part of Illinois. My husband and I live on 5 acres his parents gave us. I love to cook, and share recipes. I work in part time in the big city so I commute to work and that is time consuming, I hope to give that up soon and do more at home.
I love to read books when I have time, and I am a candlemaker.
I have one son, who is 20 , he just moved back home after graduating from tech school near Chicago.
Other than that we have a spoiled dog, Hercules, he is a Brittany Spaniel.
My FIL raises chickens and thats about all the animals I deal with now.

Hi my name is Terry and I am from the NE part of Oklahoma..I am married to a wonderful man Joe for over 27 yrs now..We weren't blessed with children but we have our fur kids that keep us hopping and laughing too..A rat terrier Gidget who has never met anyone that she won't try to get to them to play ball with her..a cocker Libby who is just a gentle easy love…a tom cat Slim who is the typical laid back lazy fat cat..and Betsy (his mom) a calico that is the gentle ease love of cats..We wouldn't take all the money in the world for them…
We moved in January after 25 years in the same place..and where I had spent all of my life at…but, it came time to move closer to my husbands work..he was commuting 120 miles a day and now it's half that…still quite the drive but we were able to stay in the country this way…we hope to have a garden this year and I want to get chickens as well..we haven't had any for years and I have been missing them..I grew up in the country on a farm and married a city boy..if you can call 5000 a city…but after being in the country for over 25 years he's not longer the city boy.
I love to cook, bake (am always trying new recipes out), craft, walking with my hubby and the dogs, camping, gardening, having lunch with friends, photography and lots of other things…I work part time in a electronics factory in their Document control dept…
I can't wait to get to know everyone here…

Hi! I am Brenda from Washington State. We recently moved to an 1898 farmhouse that had stood empty for over a year. While it is certainly a fixer-upper, we are happy as can be to be blessed to call this home. It is nestled on 10 acres of rolling wheat fields with lots of wild life and amazing neighbors. I love crafting, quilting painting, decorating (primitive decor), gardening, cooking and living a simple country life. I do many antique shows and have put on several of my own. I also work nearly full time creating primitive furniture and hand painting signs. We are blessed with lots of wonderful friends and family and enjoy spending time with them all. We are involved in church and God is the center of our lives. I live this amazing life with my husband of 20 years and three teenaged boys, plus a big ol' black dog, two indoor cats, three barn cats and nine chickens. Looking forward to getting to know each of you!
Hugs & Blessings,
Brenda

Hello and Happy New Year to all!
Wanted to officially come on board so I signed in today. Holidays are busy for me (I'm not alone here am I?) since I do a lot of baking, visiting, celebrating…and I could only skim through posts that were of specific interest (like cheese making). With the new year started I can properly introduce myself.
I live in the DFW area of Texas having just moved here from NJ. I have been cooking and baking since I was a kid. I learned from Mom and as I get more adventurous in my older(?) years, I find that I am less inclined to buy things with ingredients I can't pronounce and know even less what they will do to me once consumed and make it from scratch. This is how I came to this website, cheese making. I was googling one day and poof! up popped CITR. I enjoy the down home-y ness ( I enjoy making up new words) of the posts and the practicality of the replies.
I look forward to joining in when I have something worth contributing.
Mark

Hello! My name is Kara. I have been married for 9 years to Mark, and we have three beautiful children- one daughter (8) and two sons (5 and 4). We have two dogs, one rabbit, three chickens (although we plan to get 3 more), and some fish. We live in town on a small quarter acre, and we love the neighborhood. It's very Mayberry. We dream of getting some land and building a little farm, but for now we are small time. This will be our first year really growing a garden, but I am super excited. My mom will be teaching us to can. We have a grain mill, and mill our own wheat. DD and I have been learning to crochet and loom knit, and I recently brought the sewing machine out of retirement. I tell my husband it only took me 8 years of marriage to start becoming Susie Homemaker, but I am glad to be starting now.
I have been reading Suzanne's site for most of 2010, and I finally decided it was time to contribute to the forum and the FBR, since I glean so much wonderful information from you all! Looking forward to getting to know you!

I am Christina, once on this forum as "marionette", but since have lost my ability to log in as that.. now posing as "hotflash", since that is what I do best! (dratted 40's!) I love love love this forum, and haven't posted for a yr or so, but visit often. I like to cook, experiment with recipes, sew, learn to knit, take pictures, and learn to do new stuff! Suzanne is my idol of self-sufficiency, do-it-yourself-edness! (is that a word? it is now!), and chicken-ownership.. which I also plan to do someday!

Hi Christina, I have the same problem with my logins from time to time. The controler really has our login controlled.
I haven't been here long, for a couple of months myself. Welcome, I have chickens and cow, a donkey and 2 pigs, 3 cats and 1 dog. And, lets not forget I'm married to BO.

I've been reading the forum for awhile & decided it was time to join in. My name is Christina, and my husband, daughter, & I live in California. I'm a farm girl stuck in suburbia. We have a garden that we are working on expanding, but currently don't have any animals…I'm trying to talk my husband into chickens. My interests include canning, dehydrating, baking, candy making, and quilting.
