Cindy you might want to check my email addy for duplicates…remember I thought "I just knew" I had signed up a long time ago (like last year), and then for the life of me couldn't get in…..so I created a new login a few months ago.

Each email addy can only have 1 username (Farm Bell and the Forum are 2 different processes so it will be allowed once on each site). WordPress will kick it back saying that email address has already been used.

Well, I had to create a new name and profile in order to get on. What a panic! Of course, since I could not get on, I could not see the note at the start of this thread.
Anyway, please make my current id on both the forum and Farm Bell 'farmgrammy,' and delete the chickensohmyagain thing… much too long. I will update profile later… Also, where is the post about update your avatar with something from your computer? THANKS a million zillion…

You couldn't read this thread without being signed on, even as a guest?
We can't change usernames. That's why I suggested emailing, so it can be fixed before another username is created.
You should be able to upload an avatar now. You can't until you are out of moderated comment status, which you are when you create a new profile and we manually take you out of moderation status.

Hello CITR. I signed up a while back but have not seen fit to post anything. Yesterday I read the Farm Bell item on stuffed cabbage and tried to comment on it but was rejected to log in there. By what I read above, do I need a separate login for Farm Bell?
Kudos for the CITR site. I visit it every day.

Yep Old Geezer! The Farm Bell was split away from CitR so it could have features that suite recipes better. That meant it's actually two different sites, though they're linked together still so yes, you do have to make a separate login, but you can absolutely use the same user name and password on both to make it easier for you!
We know it's a bit of a hassle, but it means we can sort and search on recipes and ingredients so much easier!

CITR & CITR forum have become decidedly impatient. They log me off anytime I'm away from the 'puter long enough for 'puter to 'sleep.' Signing on IS a problem. I thought it was yesterday…then I signed on so I thought in was just my clumsy fingers and all was okay. But this afternoon and again this evening I had same problem. Withing two days I've been through 3 password resets in order to sign on. I'm beginning to feel paranoid, not just annoyed. I'm stumped. it never logged me off this quickly before…that I'm sure of.

What browser are you using and are there any updates due on it Bonita? Having that up to date really seems to help no matter which one you're using.
Also, are you clicking on the 'remember me' button on the login page? I know you know about that, but it's also one of those things that I sometimes just skip right over… it's easy enough to do when you get frustrated, that's for sure.
I haven't had any new problems, but I'm using Mozilla Firefox and that seems one of the most stable with WP.

BEG: Safari 5.1.4 the one I always use…I'll try my Firefox 11 (which says it's up to date). I'm a MAC10.6.8 (I do that auto update dance once a week.)
I assumed it was remembering me because it said "Welcome Bonita" just above the invitation to log on. That's part of what's so strange.
I'll try Firefox for a time or two and see if there's a difference.
