emandell, if you scroll down on the main Barn page you'll find all the recent posts with links and post titles etc.  If you're looking for an older post, click on the Barn archives button (green button at the top of the sidebar when you're on the Barn blog page).  That will take you to the archives index.

Clover made me do it.

If you're having problems remembering the password the system gives you — after logging in, go to your Profile (upper right…across where it says Logged in as XXX), then to Change Password.  You can enter any password you'd like here that is easy for you to remember.  Those passwords that WordPress sends you won't be an issue anymore :)

If that is the first time you've been in Profile, you may get an error saying first/last name required.  Simply fill in those fields needed in the Personal Identity tab with whatever you'd like, it doesn't need to be your real identity, split up your username if you'd like.

Hope this helps!!

OK go in to your profile and on the far right there is a button that says set up your signature. That is where you do it!happy-flower

You should be good to go, gakaren….that ability isn't in affect until you're out of moderated comments.

Is anyone else having site issues?  I will click on Post New Reply and zip, there it goes…takes me right back to page one, without posting my reply. That is when I can get it to open for me.  I think that problem is my slow internet though, but the not posting my reply is up in the air.  What do you think? (copying this in case it zips me again! 0_o)

I just put up links on my profile this morning to my twitter and facebook page. They are the same links I always use and I tested them to make sure they would work. But when I click on the links from one of my forum comments, it goes to a page that states "page not found". Thought maybe I didn't copy and paste the links right, so I redid them, and got the same result. Then I clicked on a couple other peoples FB and Twitter links from the forum comments and theirs didn't work either. Help……

I fixed the problem. I had to take the first part of the link off and then it worked. Thanks.

I'm wondering if there is a problem with posting for everyone, or is it just me?  I have been a registered member of both this forum and CITR main pages since November 2010 and since the first week of posting, haven't had comments of mine "moderated".

And now today, both on CITR and here in the forums, my comments are flagged that they are being moderated.  Has anyone else had this come up?

Or have I posted something "wrong"? (I don't know what it could be, and would love to find out if that is the case so I can fix it)

Hope to hear soon if I'm out here in "Siberia" alone.wave

I sure haven't seen any of your posts actually in the moderation bucket deborah.  I believe there IS a flash of a message now that may not have been there before that says something about moderation, but it's what I'd call a 'placeholder' while the system decides where to put the post, either in the queue to actually be moderated by one of us, or else into the published posts.  Maybe that's become more obvious over time while the system has to check through the growing list of members?

We've all been working really hard to get folks out of moderation fairly fast.  Those first couple days or so of moderation is more to protect us all from the robo-ads and ad-bots that are out there and can clutter up the forum with junk that none of us like!  There is software out there to do that, but we aren't that large really and we use humans to look over things so far!  It's only rarely that any actual moderation gets used that affects real people!

If someone does get carried away on a post, a topic or comment, a gentle reminder about rules etc is mostly completely effective and we don't stress over it at all anyway.  If you haven't gotten a PM about something, you haven't done anything 'wrong' so don't worry about that at all deborah!

Haha!  I just got the same message!  Up across the top of the page while what I typed got posted!  Just a placeholder while the post gets written to the forum!  sun

On the blog side, part of WordPress there's a built-in spam catcher…and sometimes that doesn't work right and many comments are sent to moderation…even Suzanne's!  laugh

Sometimes comments get thrown into moderation for mysterious reasons known only to WordPress.  I check moderated comments as frequently as I can to approve quickly!  Don't worry if a comment gets held in moderation.  Usually it has nothing to do with you personally and I will approve it asap.  (I saw yours this morning and it's already approved.)

Thank you everyone.  I'm glad it wasn't a personal thing.

Cause, like most everyone else here, the last thing I want to do is step on someone's toes or be considered rude.

So, a big shout out to the Admins and Moderators of the Forum.  Thank you for doing the background work so the rest of us can just enjoy the chatter!
