Oh I’d LOVE a BBB!! The only thing I know how to can is pickled beets (my Nana’s recipe) FROM canned beets! How sad is that?!

My garden is growing like weeds! I am going to can tomatoes, make salsa, and lots of green beans. I am going around to garage sales and finding canning jars and even found an old canning pressure cooker, it needs some work. I am so excited. I really need the BBB.
PS I used to be good at doing nothing, now I have “retired” early and my work is never done. Go figure.

I live in Canada now and for the time being can’t return to the US for reasons only known to the Canadian immigration services.
I have the Canadian version, but, oh so want the new BBB US version… sigh.

I’d LOVE to win this book. I live in a large apt. complex and got the chance for a garden plot this year. I started a garden for the 1st time in over 15 years aside from container gardening on my porch.I’m on a fixed income and thought this would a great way to suppliment fresh food. I think this is going to be the world’s most expensive garden as I’ve had plants uprooted, some of them up to 4 times. It’ll be interesting to see what ends growing(& hopefully producing) aside from the plentiful weeds & rocks. Thank you for your posts

When I was little I ooogled at my sweet Gram and Aunt Nita “s canned treats..Oh the best beans ever! I always wanted to can,but was a big chicken..Last sunday I made my first batch of strawberry jam!! I am hooked..Love the lids popping when they come out of the hot water..I am a proud canner now..lol..

Please DON’T put me in the drawing! I was fortunate enough to win one a couple of months ago. Just wanted to say how much I am enjoying it…in fact, I just made six jars of raspberry jam this morning! I don’t grow the raspberries, but they are in at a curb market nearby, so I bought some this morning and made jam. I may have to do it again next Saturday!!! Thanks, again, Suzanne!

Everything is growing now that we are getting sun and warmth here in the Northern California forest. My iffy crop of peppers is looking really, really iffy. The snow peas are looking good. The squirrel is enjoying my very few spinach plants.

I have a BBB, but it is several years old and VERY used so I could use a new one. I can then hand out the beat up one to my son, who loves to can things too and always calls me for help.
