Since last update….

Driveway rocked and ready.


Footers dug.


Footers poured!


This weekend they will be doing the block work for the foundation and basement. Soon–framing!!! Sooooo cool!!! Want a sneak peek at the plans? Go here. We’re building it with a walk-out basement to provide extra square footage for bedrooms and storage.

    Wow Suzanne, the house is going to be great when they get it finished. :hug: Are you going to do any flower beds around the house or flowering bushes? As for the book drawing, don’t enter me. I have it already, and guys, it is really good if you like indian romance. I would recommend Linda Conrad’s entire Night Guardians series. :thumbsup: Hope everyone has a great weekend.

    Leanne, I definitely want lots of flowering stuff around the house! I love flowers, love lots of color. I want to do a little herb garden near the house, too. The vegetable garden will be down in the meadow so I want a kitchen garden! :sheep:

    Anyone who couldn’t be happy in that house has serious problems. :sick: I am sure you and the children will be very happy there. I am almost envious as I live in a mobile home and don’t have a beautiful porch like that. :wall: Everyone have a great week-end and :hug: to all.

    The driveway view is so cool! We live in the country, but right on the road. I wish we had a drive like that. I can’t wait to see the finished dwelling, so I know you can’t! :snoopy:

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
