I made strawberry jam here in lovely South Korea! Does that show how devoted I am? I even wrote a post about how good the berries are here. It is under the food catagory, called “Sign of Spring”. I buy berries off little roadside trucks and at our outdoor market. The jam is really good,but the pictures of it did not come out so hot. So no pictures of jam on my blog. Oh well. I read you every day to remind me of my love of rural America. Thanks from This expat Army wife.

BBB for me, pretty please!

My last project ended poorly. :( I was getting impatient with how long my Meyer lemon marmalade was taking to set up, so I walked away for a good ten minutes (um…or maybe 15), and when I came back, it had caramelized to the point of being BROWN! I ladled it into jars anyway, but now I think I’ll scrape them out and do it again. All that effort! All those Meyers! ::sob::

I just love your site! I’ve making your Grandmother Bread for a couple of weeks now. It has become our family’s sandwich bread. I make about 3 loaves a week and no longer buy the incredibly overpriced, preservative laden bread at the grocery store.

We can thousands (yes, thousands of jars of pickles) and sell them. I’ve always wanted this book, but put all of our pennies into the process and never any to spare.
