Updates and An Advance Copy of A Hero’s Redemption!

Aug
23

My site has been updated with the latest info on my October release, A Hero’s Redemption! Read all about it here and here!

I’ve got my advance copies of A Hero’s Redemption and I’m giving one away today! ONE winner will be chosen by random comment number draw.

Here’s how to play: read the excerpt, then come back to this post and tell me one thing about the story (anything in the excerpt) that has not been posted yet in the comments. Meaning, whatever anyone else posts in the comments before yours, you have to post something different. (Example: characters’ names, setting, things that happen in the story, anything). Hint–get more than one detail to come back here and post in your comment in case someone beats you to the punch with what you were going to use!

P.S. And I forgot to say when I posted this morning–there is a new poll in the sidebar! Please vote!

I’m not going to participate in the draw (I’ll be ordering the book next week anyway), but it’s a neat contest idea.

Love the floral pic in today’s post, Suzanne. The flowers are so bright and colourful they almost hurt the eyes. LOL.

And I also wanted to say how awesome the book cover is. Yeah, the hero is to die for, all right. I remember someone making a comment, a while ago, that it was nice to see “older” characters on the cover and I agree!

Why are female characters usually 28 or 29, at least in the books I read? And the males in their early to late 30s? Heck, many of us don’t even start to come into our own, so to speak, until we hit our late 30s or early 40s and have been through things like divorces, other life upheaval, etc. What, you can’t kick a&& in your 40s? LOL. I guess it’s what sells, yes?

Anyway, I can’t wait to order and read the book!

Before the lightning struck and the van rolled end over end, Dana was shackled in handcuffs. After he came to, the handcuffs were gone and so was the van.

    Great excerpt, Suzanne! Thanks!

Please don’t enter me in the drawing as I am presently enjoying the pleasure of reading this book. I have only read about 50 pages so far and I love being with Calla and Dane In Haven. It is very interesting as events happen and Haven can definitely be otherworldly. Hope everyone reads ‘A Hero’s Redemption’ and enjoys it as I am doing now.

What a neat contest. Don’t count me in though, I want to buy it when it comes out! The premise is cool, too!

Your picture is lovely. I am jealous of all the gorgeous flowers you are surrounded with!

    Have a good day!

I was out of town yesterday but I hope I’m not to late to get entered in the contest. The excerpt is great.
    Calla has warm brown eyes.
Dane has bruises on his wrists from the shackles and probably broken ribs from the accident.
Have a great day everyone and hugs.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
