You’ll Shoot Your Eye Out!

Jan
2

Apparently, they got bows and arrows for Christmas….

It’s 2007. WOW. I think any year with a seven in it has to be a lucky year. We must do wonderful things with it!

I’m going to start off by writing more proposals so I can get more book contracts.

I want to get a pretty brown cow and a couple sheep for dotting. (Stop laughing.)

And I’m planning to start taking digital photography classes online. (See here.)

I loved, loved, loved reading all your fun, sentimental, and sometimes crazy wishes! I hope they all come true!!! I wish you could all win! But I had my kids each pick a random comment number, and here are the three they chose: #16–Ellie, #42–Diane, #81–TeresaH. Prize options: $10 Amazon gift certificate, PAX mug, or an autographed book of your choice from my backlist! Winners, choose your prize option and email me!

And yes, I’m back a day late with this post–but you knew that would happen, didn’t you?

So, come on, tell me what fun thing you’re doing with your lucky year?

Welcome back, Suz! I think it’s wonderful that you’re taking the photography classes. You’re already a pro though! :D
I love archery. Used to be pretty good with a bow.
This is a resolution-free New Year for me.

I’ll be writing, writing and writing. Three books at least. And playing hard every chance I get. 2007 is our year to get back outdoors-skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, camping!

Those bow and arrows are very cool! I bet they kids have a lot of fun with them.

    Happy New Year, Suzanne!

I’m going to travel more, probably regional trips, but there’s a lot to see. I live between beach and mountains and only made it to the mountains. Inexcusable! Good luck with your livestock :)

Ah, Suzanne… we must find a way to kill the person who got such gifts for your children.

I hope your wishes this year come true!! You certainly deserve it.

This year, I’m hoping to get the two year old to stop sucking her finger, because she’s starting to push her front teeth forward. AND to get her potty trained.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
