Once upon a time, I wrote a whole bunch of romance novels. Then I found my true love, Chickens in the Road, and now I write this website. Back when I was writing romance novels, the publishers would give me copies of my books. I had 26 books published and boy did those extra copies stack up. I couldn’t give them away fast enough to keep up with them. Recently, I’ve been trying to complete my longterm mission to declutter. One of the last bastions of clutter is my attic. You could hardly walk in there to find the Christmas ornaments without tripping over a box or 15 of books.
I cleared them all out, getting rid of them locally, but at the same time, I saved some. First, I saved three copies of each title to leave one each to my children. There were two books where I only had two copies left. They will have to fight over who doesn’t get one. (Or not…..! I’m thinking not!)
At the same time, I also saved out 10 “grab bags” to give away. Sixty books total. Ten giveaways. Six (different) titles in each grab bag. I can’t tell you which six books you’ll get in any grab bag. They will be the six I put in your package. Once they’re gone, they’re gone, and the only copies of my books I will have left are the copies I’m saving for my kids, so this is it, the last romance novel giveaway I will ever hold!

I’m going to be holding these “grab bag” giveaways here on my House & Garden page for the next two weeks until they’re all gone and until I can tell you what is really going on at my house and garden.
For a chance to win: Leave a comment on this post and let me know you want it. One winner will be drawn by random comment number to receive a grab bag. Eligible entry cut-off is midnight Eastern (U.S.) time tonight (November 8). This post will be updated with the winner by 10 a.m. Eastern (U.S.) time tomorrow (November 9). Return to this post to claim your book if your name is drawn, and watch for more grab bags, multiple days in a row, until they’re gone.
And when they’re gone, they’re gone!
P.S. Want to know more about my books before you enter? You can find out all about my romance novels here.
Update 11/09/11: The winning comment number, drawn by random.org, is #99, pattyb. Email me at CITRgiveaways@yahoo.com with your full name and address for shipping!
THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED TO ENTRY.

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....

I am decluttering too, but I love to read my books and add more while I am getting rid of others. In fact, I am accumulating a box to go to others right now and am up to 38.
