I just love those teasel heads. Every Thanksgiving, I walk up and down the road, and around the fields and make a lovely bouquet for the table. The milkweed pods are so cool, I even found a tiny birdsnest in a branch. Just LOVE using the naturals for decor. Nice!

I love this. I hope to get out into my own back yard and pick some of these lovely weeds and stick them around the house. The fall colors are so pretty this year.

Beautiful. The developers have built houses on all of my natural walk areas- so I need a field to walk in this Autumn.

  15. Oklahoma Granny says:

Gorgeous pictures! Beautiful arrangements! May you be blessed today as I was when I opened your blog to such a wonderful post.

  16. YayaOrchid says:

You are so blessed to have such a vast array of beautiful plants to choose from. I live in south Texas brush country, we only have mesquites and lots cactus and brushy shrubs in the wild. If I had those in the wild, I would plant the seeds in my garden!

  17. KentuckyFarmGirl says:

Beautiful! I need to go roadside shopping!

  18. catslady says:

I have to settle for looking out my window. I wish I could bring the outside inside but my cats eat it all (and usually bring it right back up yuk) and because of one cat that is an unbelievable jumper, there isn’t one place in my house that’s safe. She actually can stand and balance on closet doors!

  19. shirley says:

Suzanne, you are gifted in so many ways, and one of your gifts is lifting hearts.

  20. PATSY RECKART says:

Hi Suzanne I just read your blog of all the natural thing you can use for fall, did you know that you can use the teasel burrs to make a christmas tree. you will need a tall stryofoam cone, you can also find a base in craft stores to set it on waering a pair of gloves clean all the stickers from the burrs and cut the stems shot enough to stick them in the cone starting at the bottom and working all the way to the top. put one in the very top you can then spray it whatever color you wish and decorate it hoever you wish, but lookout for the stickers they hurt from pat in

we called them “possibilities”…and we took car rides into the mountains from clifton forge virginia toward the Greenbriar…looking for stones, branches, wild dried materials….this was back in the early 60’s. a memory made with mom and her sister…and you brought it back. Thank you.
