It’s that time of year again! Time to work in the garden! And I’ve got my work cut out for me.
Stylin’, baby!

Hmmmm….
How about this one?

Scarecrow: “Shall we go for a drive in my Aston Martin now?”
Or how about Little Scarecrow on the Prairie?

I think that might put a bee in his bonnet.
Maybe a pretty bow?

Nah, too girly.
Maybe a football helmet?

Too small.
I know! Howdy, pardner.

Okay, never mind.
How about a dirt bike helmet?

I didn’t think this scarecrow could possibly get creepier.

But this is FREAKING ME OUT.
Perhaps a bit of holiday spirit instead?

Wrong holiday.
It’s difficult to wear a hat when you have no head. Maybe just a little jewelry.

Wait….
I know.
AN APRON!!!!!

Perfect!
Whew, gardening is hard. I think I might have a blister!

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
