Woof-alicious

Puppy dog cake! She loves dogs. Loves, loves, LOVES dogs. And horses. And cats. And, well, anything that moves and she can pet.

This was a real simple cake–two cake rounds with two cupcakes for the paws, and I used icing to make the ears and mouth etc. It was fun, and she liked it. Children can be so easy to please! You made anything fun lately? :hungry:

 That cake is so cute! I haven’t made anything fun lately. Well unless you consider making my family mad at me fun.
OMG! I love her sweatshirt even better than the t-shirt in yesterday’s post. Texas is my favorite college team. I have a Texas jersey (#10) and a Texas hoodie. #10 was Vince Young’s and they’re trying to decide if they should retire it.

Very cute cake. I can bake, but am miserable at anything artistic.

Happy birthday week to your little princess. Our little princess won her school’s science fair last night. Her project (with her partner) involved the destructive forces of nature on structures. (Can you guess we live in a hurricane zone?)

You can take the girl out of Texas… but you can’t take Texas out of the girl. She needs a red sweatshirt though from one of those other Texas institutes of higher learning. :snoopy:

The cake is really cute! I couldn’t make that if it came already baked and frosted, and just needed assembly.

I suck at things like that!

Happy Birthday, Princess. Enjoy every day. You’re so lucky that your mom makes you all these goodies.

Baking was the only culinary skill I had once upon a time but now just stirring or kneading dough make me want to cry. My fingers are so sore all the time. Make use of the time while it’s still young.

    Have fun.

Actually, after the really windy afternoon we had today, the evening seemed to be warmer. So we can stay with some snow and cold but without the wind. A much better deal all around.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
