First Chapter Sneak Peek

This photo was taken last fall by my “official photographer” (ha) Jerry Waters. I love this picture because it’s so ridiculous, and also really defines my relationship with my livestock. Which is ridiculous. I was feeding Fanta a cookie. From my mouth. Seriously. This is so embarrassing. And yet I post this photo. Repeatedly. So people can laugh at me. I’m a giver!

I wrote about my journey acquiring and learning about livestock in my book, and it will either make people want to run right out and get a cow, or make them run in the other direction, but hopefully it will be entertaining. Because it’s ridiculous. But anyway! I do have a point here. Somewhere!

I will be offering a sneak peak of the first chapter from my book soon. It will be made available via my newsletter. If you’re not signed up for my newsletter, don’t miss it! You can sign up for the Chickens in the Road Newsletter here: Sign up.

After you sign up, take a look at the early reviews on Amazon here: Chickens in the Road: An Adventure in Ordinary Splendor. (Scroll down to see the customer reviews.) Interesting….at least to me!

Don’t worry, it’s not that weird. I feed my Nubian/Boer doe graham crackers from my mouth.

    Can’t wait!

My interest in chickens is what brought me to CITR but your sons comment “you have brought us to this slanted house to die” is what captured me. I can’t wait to read your book!

Great reviews so far – though I am not at all surprised. 🙂

I don’t think that’s weird! I wish I had a goat or 3! I found your website several years ago while looking for a Burnt Sugar Cake recipe. I love your stories, recipes & crafts! Can’t wait til your book comes out! I am purchasing the actual book – no Kindle/digital book for me!

Hello Suzanne! I am ready to pre-order a book. I am thinking that I read that you would sign books? I can’t remember how that worked or in which post I read about that? I can get it from Amazon but are you signing any?

    Thanks for always inspiring me!

Suzanne, I pre-ordered two copies months ago! Do you know exactly where your local booksignings will be? Seems like the Charleston Town Center would be a great place..or even the Capitol Market.

Can’t wait to have your book in my hands….the waiting is killing me!!!
