Random Turkeys

Random Turkey #1: Turkey mama and family strolling across our farm. Cute, huh?

Random Turkey #2: This girl, who made off with my camera without telling me and took all these turkey pictures then nailed herself for it by taking her own picture.

Repeatedly.

And she’s the cutest turkey of all. She is a hoot, this girl. She is the light of every room she walks into. She is the girl I wished I was when I was a shy, gawky thing that was nothing like her. She is my idol.

Keep your cute little turkey close while you can, my oldest turkey just left for his third year of college. I hate it when they leave.

    ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

As for real turkeys, they are #1 on my list of hated things. They spook my young horses out on the trail, and I get dumped on my rear.

  2. Shari C says:

Your #1 is a very pretty young lady already. They grow up way too fast; it seems one day they are learning to walk and the next time you turn around they are graduating high school…where does the time go!

As far as the other turkeys they were cute to see. Thanks.

  3. Kathryn says:

Good morning, Princess! Hope you have a great day. I have a busy day and, to give myself an extra boost, am planning on giving myself a treat by having a piece of buttermilk pie for breakfast! The way I see it, buttermilk and breakfast begin with the same letter, so it has to be healthy!

  4. Christine says:

LOL, I love that girl’s sense of humor.

We have loads of wild turkeys wandering around, I enjoy them so much I’m thinking about raising some heritage turkeys.

  5. Pam says:

We have a major outbreak of turkeys in out backyard this year. Great pictures your daughter took! ๐Ÿ™‚

Looks like you have Thanksgiving covered.

  8. Fannie says:

Great pictures, Princess. I live on a mountain but don’t ever see wild animals. Guess too many other people live on this same mountain. ๐Ÿ˜† The turkeys are awesome. How did you get that close to them? They usually don’t let a human that close. Keep “borrowing” you Mom’s camera and supplying us with pictures like those. I’ll bet that your Mom is your idol too. Have a great day and  to all.

  9. heidi says:

She may be a turkey for not telling you about the pictures- but how sweet that she has your interest in animals and cameras. My children are all boys- but it looks to me like Princess is indeed pretty royal as a daughter- you do , indeed, have a treasure in this girl!

  10. Lora says:

Good job on the pics, Princess!

  11. Gail L. says:

    Great turkey shots Princess!

  12. Kim W says:

I vote for the turkey w/the long blonge hair!

When we lived on the other side of our county we used to see wild turckeys all the time. Usually it was when a big gobbler and his ‘girls’ would make traffic stop so he could shuttle them across the roa! :chicken:

Has anyone ever ask “Why did the turkey cross the raod?”

    Blessings from Ohio…

  13. Carolyn A. says:

When you saw the pics on your camera, did you tell Princess, “You are so busted!” Actually they came very well and I love her sense of humor. The turkey pictures are good too … um … when’s dinner? xxoo

  14. Karen B says:

    :flying:  Princess

  15. Teresa H. says:

I love watching wildlife! Looks like princess is going to be as good a photographer as her mom!

  16. Nancy Hudson says:

I think you would be her idol too.

  17. Claudia W. says:

Princess is great! Good pictures there. I like all the pictures. I just wish my girls were still that age!

  18. Karen Erickson says:

Great turkey pics – I’m never able to get very close to the three turkeys that wander through our property. I love watching them though. And they’re always together. They take care of each other and I think that’s sweet.

  19. Amy says:

    :rotfl:

Thank goodness for DIGITAL cameras, eh?

  20. Lisa L. says:

What an awesome way to feel about your own daughter. She is very lucky to have a mom like you! Lisa

  21. Jean says:

Princess is beautiful and talented with the camera as well. I love it that you say such good things about her. I used to live where there were wild turkeys. They are fascinating to watch. The hens work together to raise the chicks. The toms were awesome during mating season. They would stand in the road and challenge cars in the driveway! I sure miss them. So glad you are achieving your dreams.

  22. Katharina says:

You are very COOL, princess. ๐Ÿ˜†

  23. Joanne says:

I think of my daughter the same way…she is my hero ๐Ÿ˜‰ Aren’t we lucky?

  24. Donna says:

Wow, I didn’t realize how ugly turkeys are. LOL I think they look like giant buzzards. ha!

That Princess cracks me UP!!! She is such a character! I can see why she is your joy! I would love to have one JUST LIKE HER! She is so cute milking that goat! That just tickles me how she is taking all those pictures of herself with all her expressions, like she’s in a photo booth! LOL LOL LOL Hey, why not! All the farm animals get their pictures made daily from every angle, so she must feel “why not ME?????”. LOL Even Coco would agree! :bananadance:

  25. Donna says:

P.S. – notice how Clover is not kicking with Princess???? I mean the Queen KNOWS she needs a Princess to milk her!

  26. Estella says:

    Great pics, Princess!
