It’s deer season, of course. Also known as “Holy Week” in West Virginia. Ross is hoping to get one. (Not that he’s ever gotten one before. Just sayin’.)

Good luck, Ross! Deer have been thick around here! I think we’ll be eating some deer this weekend once everyone has their fill of turkey.

I’d be inclined to bet Ross came home first for the family, second for the holiday and then for the hunt!
Good Luck Ross & stay safe.

I think he came home to see his Mom and his siblings and then deer hunting is a bonus. Good luck Ross. Isn’t Weston old enough or doesn’t he hunt? Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Still bowhunting season here….firearms don’t start until the second week of December. There was venison on the table today, along with plenty of turkey. If he brings home something for the freezer I recommend chili and spaghetti sauce…yum!
Hope all of you enjoyed turkey day in the new farmstead!

Good luck,Ross. Deer season here (MO) takes a break for Thanksgiving (otherwise I don’t think the the menfolk would ever come home). Then it starts up again, then another kind of firearm season and on and on. You cannot get any services (plumbing, etc) until all the deer hunting seasons are just about over. Not as many deer around as in past years — maybe time to slow it all down.

I tried to take your survey – but it only gave me weird “edit” errors – hope it was just not me and not for everyone.

It’s the same here in Idaho. I’ve seen a HUGE buck and a doe in our back pasture several times this week, luckily for them no one in our family put in for tags.
