Dumplin and Moon Pie. If they look irritable, it’s because mama’s in the milking parlor. I have some Dumplin news coming up, by the way. But I can’t tell you about it yet.
Hmmmm…I can only guess. I’m thinking she’s got a hot date, or maybe already had one and is expecting her own little dumplin’. Didn’t you mention previously that your neighbor now owns her, but she stays at your place? Maybe she’s going to be moo-ving. :cowsleep:
Dumplin definitely looking the part of the beefy. Bet she raise a tremendous calf with her dairy heritage bred back to a beef bred bull. MoonPie on the other hand is showing more dainty features. I bet she would make a good family milk cow. Not the high production of a pure bred but enough for a family to use and the calf could keep up with the rest. Growing up, all our milk cows were crossbreds for this reason. The one exception is when we bought 4 brown Swiss and kept 3 in production. We were supplying 5 families with milk at the time. Looks like MP will carry more of her mother’s features. JoAnn, have enjoyed your adventures.

Will she be replacing Maia on your book signings? That is one big tutu. Better start sourcing tulle now!

Dumpling is such a beautiful cow. I love her color. I hope you’re going to tell us you bought her back from your neighbor.
