Apple tree, hanging with fruit…..
WHERE did the summer go? My kids do sports, and that means there is almost no summer. 14 was in football camp at nearly the end of June, and now he’s starting freshman football practice (at the HIGH SCHOOL!!!! how did THAT happen??? is he not still TWO??) at the end of July.
Meanwhile, 16 (WHY can’t he DRIVE????? he doesn’t UNDERSTAND!!) starts golf practice at the same time.
On TV, they are already talking about school supplies. I don’t wanna hear about school supplies! Make it stop!!!

Summers are so short and fleeting. My son had one week football camp. At the same time, his older sister was at Girls State. The yougest daughter was in dance tryouts. Then she was in summer school. Next week, the 17 year old is off to cheerleading camp. With work and building a new house, it has been a rapid summer. However, last night, I saw Live and Collective Soul at an outdoor concert. It was wonderful.

Congrats from me too, Karen B. 🙂
I don’t know where summer is going. I work at our local university, and while not in an academic department, I was thinking just yesterday that the students soon will be descending upon the campus, en masse. And it’ll be Frosh Week….Then it’ll be Thanksgiving, then Christmas…Okay, let’s not go there.
Time should seem to slow down as you get older, so you can savour the days. Not move at warp speed!

Ooh…your apples are bigger than mine. I have apple envy (but, on the bright side, I also have apples for the first time!).
Summer… I love it, and here in the NE it’s far too short. My Californian blood misses enternal summer…

The apples are cool.
The worst part about having kids is that they grow so fast. Each new school year arrives sooner than the last. Argh!

It seems the older you get the quicker summer goes. At least my baby girl is only 1 so I have a few more years to enjoy with her before I have to start with the school routine. :hissyfit: That will be a sad first day. Those apples look great Suzanne!!!! Good enough for a good apple pie for dinner. Hope you don’t get too razzled between now and the end of Aug., where then you’ll hopefully get a bit of a break. Hope everyone is having a great day today.

Congratulations Karen B!
The apples look wonderful!
I am ready for summer to be over, it’s too hot here. And besides, since I homeschool, we don’t take the summer off.
Hub’s favorite commercial was an office supply store from a few years ago. The Dad was going down the aisles skipping with the shopping cart with the kids dragging behind him and the song “It’s the Most wonderful time of the year” was playing in the back ground.
Have a good day!

Summer is going way too fast…I have too many items on my list to get done yet. Maybe my problem is I want to play and enjoy all these beautiful and sunny days instead of getting chores done around the house.
Ohhh, Stephanie’s book sounds soooo mysterious. Please enter me in the drawing.
Those apples look good to me!

I saw the first back-to-school commercial yesterday. Which depresses me as an adult, becuase we don’t get to go back-to-anything shopping once we’re grown folk. Yes, we can shop any time, but it’s not the same…not even a little…
