Chunky Chicken Caviar Giveaway

Recently, the good people at My Pet Chicken sent me a sampler pack of their Chunky Chicken Caviar. This is a chicken treat that’s good for the chickens. As opposed to Doritos. My chickens love stale Doritos. (Just sayin’.) However, Doritos have zippo nutritional value. Chunky Chicken Caviar includes beneficial ingredients like corn, wheat, alfalfa, flax, kelp and spirulina. Yum. (If you’re a chicken!)

My goose took to the Chunky Chicken Caviar right away.

I had to round up the chickens and sprinkle some cracked corn on top first to get them to try it. Chickens, they don’t like change.

Then I held a little competition with some cracked corn, some stale Doritos, and some Chunky Chicken Caviar.

Like a blind taste test, minus the hen-size blindfolds.

They liked it all, to be honest, but they were definitely scarfing down the Chunky Chicken Caviar after they figured out that I wasn’t trying to poison them–and I felt good about giving it to them with the kelp and spirulina and everything. (What is that? Wikipedia: spirulina.)

The dogs and cats loved it, too, and even got into it before the chickens, so remember to keep it put up!

Everybody loves it. (Well, I didn’t try it personally. But you can. Let me know!)

The people at My Pet Chicken are offering three of the Chunky Chicken Caviar two-packs as giveaways today. To be in the running, just leave a comment to let me know that you want it. Or that your chickens want it. Maybe you should let your chickens use the computer. They’ll all want to enter! Let me know how that works out.

Valid entry deadline is tonight at midnight. Three winners will be chosen by random comment number drawing. Return to this post to check if you are a winner.

Visit the My Pet Chicken website here and find out more about Chunky Chicken Caviar here!

UPDATE 06/07/12: The winning comment numbers, drawn by random.org, are comments #70–mammaleigh, #27–Bells, and #50–wormlady. Email me at [email protected] with your full name and address for shipping!

THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED TO ENTRY.

My chickens would love some. Never tried Doritos. They really have never met a treat they didn’t like though.

Hopefully the deadline is midnight in MY time zone!

  3. Old Geezer says:

Not long ago I came up with the name of a snack food:

    “Chunky Choco-Chicken-Cheese Chipotle Chips

    They’re chunky!
    They’re chocolate!
    They’re chicken!
    They’re cheese!
    They’re chipotle!
    They’re CHIPS!”

And I was going to market them to idiots. But now I see a whole new market opportunity: CHICKENS! And the target market doesn’t even mind stale!

BTW when you stumble on to a freebee offer for Beluga Caviar drop me a note. I don’t have any chickens.

I’ll bet they would love the caviar, especially the blonde one I call Greta Garbo. She’s high class you know, although Lucy (Lucille Ball) probably will join her. Thanks for the opportunity to win. I’m not sure if it’s available here in the Pacific NW. I’ll have to check the feed store. Carline

So far, the dog, goats and chickens love goat sweet feed. The goats will knock down gates for chicken feed and try to get in my pocket for rabbit pellets. I have kept the goats out of the kitten food, but know that the chickens like that. So it’s time to bring on the chicken treats and see how many species eat them at my house.

If you pick my number, please draw another, because I don’t have chickens. I just wanted to comment that when I used to feed spirulina to my fish, my cat would be front-and-center begging for a piece. She loves it. When I started making homemade cat food, I added spirulina for some greens (and because she likes the flavor).

Please enter me into the drawing!!!!!!!!!! My chicks came today all looking healthy. I have a wonderful brother in law that had to go to the post office for me and take them to my house and put the water and mix together and turn the light on in the brooder box for me. MY dad had to have his gall bladder out. He waited to long trying to be a tough guy. It literally fell apart when the doc. was removing it. Hubby is on duty tonight cause I need to stay with my dad. Any ways I would love this to try for my chicks when they are older. They are so cute all 8 of them!!!!!!
    Linda

  59. azladychef says:

My ladies would LOVE to be entered into the drawing! It has been a difficult week for them. We had a coyote attack right in the middle of our city neighborhood, and lost 4 precious chickens.
