Every Time God Laughs, Another Goat Baby Is Born

Jun

I almost think these pictures don’t require any words, that words are just a blight upon their natural glory.

But you know I have to say something with all this cuteness in front of me.

They are adorable! They are like little dolls! You look at them and think, “Are they stuffed? Because nothing in real life can be THAT CUTE!!!!”

I love how they cavort. And frolic. And clamber.

Okay, they weren’t clambering when I was watching, but next to frolic and cavort, clamber is my favorite word. I like shall and shan’t, too. Don’t you think shan’t needs to make a comeback? I shan’t do anything but watch baby goats frolic and cavort once I have my own! That makes me feel very Scarlett O’Hara-ish and I think I’m going to make a mint julep and cut my drapes into dresses now. (I don’t have any drapes.)

I think I am drunk on baby goats.

I want some!!

They are buckling-heavy in the births at the goat farm this year. If they don’t have enough doelings, I might not get my babies. I shan’t like that at all!!!

There are just a few more mamas left to give birth.

Come on, pretty mamas, have my babies! (Think pink!)

Eeek!!! It’s a good thing this one isn’t preggers. It’s the psycho goat!

There’s always one in every crowd, isn’t there?

“Prepare to die.”

Baby goats are sooo cute! That psycho goat is pretty scary, don’t let it near Spartacus, he might get some new ideas for planning his take over of the roost!

  4. Shirley says:

The baby goat pictures are adorable. You just want to pick them up and cuddle with them.

I can just hear Scarlett say, ‘I shan’t go to the party at Twelve Oaks unless I can have a baby goat’.

  5. kacey says:

Wow, that IS a lot of cuteness. Okay, I’ll think pink thoughts for you!

  6. Cheryl S. says:

Aww, I want the little black and white goat. Soooo cute! What are baby goats called, anyway?

  7. Tina L says:

    Very cute baby goats.

  8. Stacia says:

I’ve wanted goats since I was in high school. I am so jealous because they are soooooooo cute! And my husband wants chickens. Maybe we should just come and visit!

  9. Kristen says:

They are so adorable…almost makes me want to get goats again. But then I remembered how they always got out of the fence and ate all of my pretty flowers and vegetables. They are really cute though.

  10. Suzanne McMinn says:

Cheryl, baby goats are called kids in general, and if they are males, they are bucklings, if they are females, doelings.

  11. Blaze says:

    Goats!
I can honestly say I’ve never thought of a goat as cute.

Just not an animal I would consider falling into the cute family. But when they are baby’s..well okay they are kinda on the cute side heh.

    Hope you get some though!

  12. Robin G. says:

That’s a borderline illegal level of cute.

  13. Fannie M Wiggins says:

The baby goats sure are cute. I hope you get your babies. Just keep thinking PINK!!! It works. My daughter has 4 boys. They wanted a girl this time. My prayer circle at church started praying as soon as we knew she was pregnant. She had her ultrasound a couple of weeks ago and “It’s a GIRL” :flying: so think positively. Have a great day and  to all.

Becky, we’ve always had cats and dogs!

  22. Kathryn says:

What a lovely thing to see first thing this morning. I have been grappling for days with a balkish router that would let me get to about four sites, none of which I wanted, and ignored all cajoling, tears, threats, and ancient curses.

Those babies are just as you described. I think they look like little toys. Thank you for bringing that bit of sunshine here on a rainy morning.

  23. Heidi says:

My favorite part about baby goats is when they are getting a little ‘titty’ as my 3 year old says. πŸ™‚ They are SO cute Sue – if you let them run around your yard they will be on the pie porch for sure!! Looking in the windows… πŸ™‚

  24. Wendy says:

You like goats? Come see my Nigerians. https://lifebeyondthesidewalks.blogspot.com I hope you get your doelings this year. It is hard to wait. I have heard that a sign of intellegence is the delay of gratification. So you are being tested.
I like the carmel colored ones. I don’t have that look here.

  25. Karen B says:

    those babies!

  26. Diane says:

Those little kiddos are adorable, but aren’t all baby animals? I love me some snuggly baby critters. By the way, I think you should build a hutch and get some flop-eared bunnies. Talk about cute! I bet princess would like them too. Ah, but I guess you can think about that tomorrow, just like Scarlett.

  27. Shimmy Mom says:

baby goats are too cute. I want some too but we don’t have quite enough property to add any more animals to the mix.

  28. Employee No. 3699 says:

Said in a whiney Veruca Salt voice (Willie Wonka), “I want a baby goat. I want a baby goat Now!”

Unfortunately, my suburban neighbors wouldn’t allow it. So I’ll just keep peekin’ in on you to get my fill of the good life!

    Have a wonderful weekend.

    Toodles~

Capricious! Of course as dogs are canines and cats are felines, goats are caprines; hence the terms caprice, capriole in the dressage world….Goats are SO influential!

  40. Maureen says:

Hi Ms. McMinn! You’re site is very creative and the pictures are amazing. I was cleaning my room and came across the business card you wrote someone’s number on and decided that it’d probably be pretty awesome — which it is. I also thought I’d ask how the Writer’s Convention went — So how did the Writer’s Convention go?

    x-Selena. :bananadance:
