Not THAT jewelry!
Anyway!
Rotunda, aka Nutmeg, THEN:
And now, post-babies:
A tad rotund, as is her wont, but back to normal. For her.
Perhaps not surprisingly, since she IS La Rotunda, Nutmeg has some powerful genes. She gifts all of her babies with her “frosted ears” and her wattles.
Wattles are appendages of skin that dangle from a goat’s neck. Most goats don’t have them. Nutmeg’s mama (Clover) doesn’t have them. Her daddy didn’t have them (I’ve made his acquaintance), so she’s a throwback with a vengeance. Some people don’t like wattles and they actually cut them off when they’re babies. I love wattles! They are like goat jewelry.
Dr. Pepper’s wattles (and frosted ears):
New babies with wattles and frosted ears:
And they’re super cute, too.
In case you were wondering!

I hear Clover saying: “Mirror, mirror, on the wall who’s the fairest of them all?!” There is no doubt, she still holds the title.

Now Ms Rotunda AKA Nutmeg can get back into those jeans! All your goats are pretty and so are the babies. I never thought of goats having wattles but I cant see the reason to put them thru cutting those off. God must have wanted them to have em! :happyflower:

Clover may not have Nutmeg’s jewelry, but apparently she does have access to someone jewelry box. And the good taste not to wear it all at once. The babies are wonderful. 😆

I just read an article that made me think of you! The headline is: “Germans foiled by farmyard fugitive Yvonne the cow.” Yes, someone else’s unruly animal is making international news. Just don’t tell you-know-who. She might think it’s a dare!
