Guilty Faces

First it was Moon Pie.
She looks so innocent, doesn’t she?
She knows how to cause trouble. She broke in through the barbed wire fence separating the back barnyard repeatedly last week. Repairs were no problem–she’d just break through again the next day. And the next day. Then–FINALLY. It was fixed! Moon Pie-proof.

And then–
Have something on your chest to confess, Glory Bee?
Don’t even pretend you want to get back through that gate to come to the milking parlor and work!
How’d you get over there anyway?!
That’s right. This time Glory Bee did the fence breaking. It was Moon Pie-proof, but not Glory Bee-proof, apparently. She can say she wants to work all she wants, but the facts say differently. She’s giving her milk away, and not to me!

The barbed wire fence is coming down this week and a new fence with woven wire is going up.

Take that!
I don’t think anybody’s gonna be happy about it. Except me.

I bet you didn’t think they were so cute when you had to keep repairing the fence! a little bit of a devil behind those sweet angel faces.
