Do you think Clover will want to share you with Annabelle? I’m sure she will be a follower….everywhere Suzanne went, Annabelle was sure to go!

  2. Cece says:

I just adore you!! I wish we were neighbors. I love the stories and pictures. I hope you didn’t hurt yourself when you stumbled over the logs. I just want to kiss those goats, they are so darned sweet.

Have a great day and stay warm.

    Keep them coming!

  4. Becky says:

    Cute post, Suzanne!
Who is entertaining who? Are you entertaining yourself or the goats? Maybe it’s both. Oh well, I’d be out there talking to them too if I were there. They always look so happy to see you.

  5. Blaze says:

The cookie tree trick would work on me, too.

  7. Patty says:

Whew, Thanks for this post. I have learned the most inportant rule in having goats. Never ever go outside without cookies!! lol. Enjoy your day πŸ˜†

  8. Nancy in Atlanta says:

The Pied Piper went out without cookies? Shame! The “kids” are as big as Mom now – what adorable critters! :purpleflower:

  9. Debra Ruth says:

Ha Ha…read you every morning and this one brought a huge smile to my face

  10. Debbie in PA says:

I especially liked your very closeup picture of Clover! I love the goats–they are really interesting animals.

Seriously Suzanne–you should think about doing a childrens book featuring your animals. My kids would have loved this stuff when they were little. If you write one, I will promise to buy one for my nieces!

  11. Matthew Burns says:

You are too funny! I just love the anthropomorphicized Clover! Also, about your article in the Daily Mail. Great piece. I know Ginger Williford that you interviewed for the piece. She has a sweet operation there on Wills Creek. She gave my wife and me absolutely the best honey I’ve ever had in my life.

Funny story about the article, my wife and Ginger work together, and Ginger was telling my wife about being interviewed by Suzanne McMinn about her farm. My wife immediately recognized your name from all of the Clvoer tales I read and relate to her, and she asked Ginger, “Are you talking about Suzanne McMinn who is Clover’s Mommy?”

That Clover!! Word is getting out about her antics.

Thank you for brightening our days here in the dead of winter.

  12. Sonshine says:

Absolutely precious! I just purchased 2 brothers a few months ago and until then did not realize how precious goats really are. I needed them to help keep some rocky areas clean…didn’t realize I would fall in love with them. This Spring I plan on getting a couple of babies so I can start raising them myself. :snoopy: After seeing Annabelle, I want a lamb too…oh my, you’re a bad influence on me! HA! We recently acquired a giant puppy of our own, too! He’s a Siberian Husky and just loves playing with his new best friends! Thank you, Suzanne, for laughs and inspirations!

I read your article, too…it was great! If I didn’t love my Tennessee Mountains so much, I would be tempted to look toward WVa! πŸ˜‰

  13. Leah says:

The 3 dwarfs look like tbey had fun playing follow the leader and find the cookies!

  14. Patty says:

so here I am sitting in the middle of a big city in California in the middle of the night laughing loudly in an apartment building at this wonderful writing of yours

  15. PamperingBeki says:

They are so adorable!! Your commentary is hilarious. πŸ˜‰

  16. Linda says:

Suzanne you crack me up. I loved it! Thanks for the laugh I really needed it today. Keep up the good work.

  17. trish says:

I found your blog through Jill Shalvis’s blog and I LOVE it. I am going to look into your books as well. I always love finding a great new author. Love your goats. Makes me want my own.

I really want big puppy!!! lol :woof:

  18. Linda says:

Suzanne what is the Appalachian Quilt Barn Trail that you mentioned in your news paper article today?

    • Suzanne McMinn says:

It’s a trail of barns where they’ve mounted squares painted in quilt patterns on them. There are a lot of them in Ohio and West Virginia, and it’s spread to other states now. Eventually, when I have a barn (!), I want to be part of the quilt barn trail, too.

  19. Estella says:

I do enjoy your pictures and stories.

  20. Susan says:

    That was wonderful! :dancingmonster:

  21. Brandy says:

Clover looks like she REALLY wants a cookie! *G*

  22. catslady says:

What, no cookes! Your goats usually eat better than me hahaha Thanks for the laughs.

  23. TheresaG says:

My mom had a goat once. It knocked on the door so my then 4 year old brother opened the door. The goat hung out in the kitchen for a while, waiting for my mom to notice. When she did notice (about the time the goat banged on the side of the oven she was cleaning), she screamed at the goat, who took off running. The dog decided to go after to goat, and my brother thought it was a fun game of chase.
All those feet following the goat (who did what goats do, you know, with droppings…on carpeted floors).

Love the pictures, love the stories, so glad to have found you through the bloggies award site.

  24. Mrs. says:

Can you see how green I am? Green with envy? I long to own goats (so I will never have to mow) and chickens (the pretty ones that lay blue eggs). Too bad suburban megalopolis won’t let me. I hope you don’t mind, but I have linked you to my blog. Seriously, I wish I could have just one small goat.

  25. Sheila says:

Omg that was too funny and your goats are so adoreable πŸ™‚
