The Crooked Little Hen Explains

“This,” the Crooked Little Hen said to the speckled chicken, “is the good stuff.”

“And you can’t have it!”

And then she chased her

because the Crooked Little Hen only shares with dogs.

  1. holstein woman says:

Crooked little hen is smart. Not many other hens can join in because you might chase her off if she lets more eat also.

  2. Becky says:

I get it…..She guards the FOOD!

  3. Ramona says:

That’s too funny with that huge dog just ignoring her.

  4. texwisgirl says:

Nice to see C.L.H. still happy and around.

  5. Kelly Walker says:

The Giant Puppy wasn’t being much help there, was he???

  6. Window On The Prairie says:

Silly crooked little hen defending what doesn’t even belong to her. What a character. :chicken:

  7. KimM says:

Love the video- how very true. Pace around all day long. I cannot imagine being a chicken! Though they always seem to be enjoying themselves.

  8. Miss Becky says:

she’s adorable and I hope she rules the roost forever.

  9. whaledancer says:

Maybe Annabelle convinced the Crooked Little Hen that she’s a dog, too. And the Giant Puppy is happy to share because the Crooked Little Hen keeps the chickens away from her (their?) food, so there’s more left for Coco. I think they’ve got this thing worked out.

I love watching the videos of your farm, because I get to hear the backgrown sounds. I really want to live somewhere where I can hear chickens. Chickens sound like home to me.

  10. Lisa says:

I love the crooked hen, we have a crooked roo, so if you are ever interested in crooked babies let me know 🙂

  11. Jennifer Robin says:

We used to have ducks that ate out of the dog’s dish. Funny stuff! I love your crooked litle hen stories best of all :chicken:

  12. lavenderblue says:

Didn’t crooked little hen have a beau that shared the porch with her, at one time? Where did he go? Or don’t I want to know?

  13. Barry Russo says:

“ATTACK GUARD CHICKEN” someone made a comment about the CLH seeming to be happy.
I have a rooster that smiles when he is happy. That is hard to do with a beek but I swear you can see him smiling. Just ask my wife.
