Lesbian Party

I have NO idea why people were asking if there was a lesbian party going on last weekend in Reno. Maybe all the cleavage and almost complete lack of testosterone? This particularly lovely bounty belongs to Sela Carsen and I WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE PHOTOGRAPHING IT. Really. I swear.

Me, in the suite just before heading down for a cab, ready for dancing. The Harlequin party was at the Peppermill Resort Casino. It started at 8. I was taking off my shoes by 8:30 and I didn’t stop dancing till midnight. Well, I stopped just long enough to get drinks and take my papparazzi shots. It was a ton of fun.

Assorted shots from the Harlequin party:

Editors…..

Me with Silhouette Intimate Moments senior editor Patience Smith.

My editor Jessica Alvarez.

Friends….

Me with Next author Mary Schramski.

Me with Harlequin Intrigue author Cynthia, one of my local Fruity F*cker cohorts.

Harlequin Modern Extra (the new name for the Temptation line) author Julie Cohen.

Famous faces…..

Heather Graham.

Audible’s James Pearson (practically the only man there) with Elizabeth Bevarly after we dragged the poor guy onto the dance floor.

:bananadance:And a great time was had by all.

See more pics of editors, friends, and the famous from the Harlequin party on my photoblog today, and the rest of the conference pics, including pics from the Ritas after-party on Saturday.

Oh, and I’ll add–I only gambled once. Jill Shalvis’s husband showed me how to play slots after breakfast on Sunday. He gave me three dollars in quarters. I used that up and won four dollars! Then promptly lost it all. He has some kind of Midas touch and I watched him win over and over at every machine he touched.

Looking back on my posts this week….does it look like all I did at this very important business conference is party? I WONDER WHY THAT IS?:wigglebrow:

I’m going to have to look and see, though… how did the photos from the Nora stalking excursion turn out?

  20. Carrie says:

Hi Suzanne! Looks like you had a GREAT time in Reno. Wish I could have been there. Oh well, maybe next year!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! It wasn’t so scary making the car fly~more embarassing than anything else. Thankfully only three of the original twelve were still there when I did it, so only minor mocking ensued! lol

    Have a great weekend!

    Carrie

  21. Sela says:

OMG! I’m famous — or rather, infamous! I apologize to everyone who has followed the link to my blog. I’m frantically back to school shopping for my monkey children who start on Monday!! (I hate that about the Carolinas.) But I promise to update soon and see if I can draft my darn-near-perfect dh into teaching me how to post photos.

  22. Peggie says:

    I’m seeing a James Pearson theme here….

  23. Toni Anderson says:

It was hard work–between parties

  24. ruby55 says:

With that man/woman ratio, no wonder there was talk!

But it does show we don’t need to have the other half to really have fun.

  25. Gladys Paradowski says:

Did someone say, “If you’ve got it, flaunt it?” Maybe if it proved profitable last year, she was giving it another ahot. Ha!

  26. TeresaH says:

Looks like one big party to me! *G* Seriously, it looks like you had a terrific time!
