This is exactly what I need and want. I’ve been working to teach my grown children, daughter and son and his wife how important it is to learn how to can. They’ve gotten much more interested as time has gone along and I’m absolutely sure this would be a huge incentive to them. I feel like things I can sitting on the shelf are like treasures–fulfilling to have food I’ve prepared and satisfying to the heart for what those colorful jars of food represent, my love for my family and friends. I already own (and use) the BBB and love it of course – but “Canning for a New Generation” looks wonderful. I’d love to have it in my cookbook library and like the idea of it being arranged seasonally which is so helpful…like another fabulous cookbook “Chez Panisse Vegetables” that is arranged alphabetically by vegetable!
