This has to be the nicest review I’ve ever read of one of my books. It made me cry, I swear. Joely calls Deep Blue a “classic study in perfection.” That is almost scary. This book was so hard to write. I think I’ll just do laundry today and contemplate the impossibility of ever doing it again.
There’s another one here and Rae also has a link to the discussion still going on at eHarlequin about Deep Blue (check it out!).
If you’ve seen any reviews of Deep Blue out there in cyberland, let me know and I’ll post links!! And don’t forget, it’s IN STORES NOW!!!

Of course you can write another book as good as Deep Blue:yes:

 Excellent reviews, Suz. Ok, so the merman finally came home to me. I asked my fiance to get me a copy when he went to the Navy Exchange. He said he knew the book right away when he saw the eyes! The eyes! I had told him about the cover and he didn’t believe me ’til he saw those arresting, blue eyes. Ya’know, it’s reviews like that that make ya wanna read the book ASAP! As soon as I finish the book I’m reading…it’s on! 😀

Seriously, Suzanne, I loved this book. I can see why it might have been hard to write, because it was set up perfectly. Everything I’ve been struggling to picture in my mind as far as set up, three act structure, dark moment, etc. — wow, this had it all and I could *see* it. Plus, I enjoyed the story as a reader, too! I really didn’t think you would wow me more than the Third Sight, because I loved all that mythology–but Deep Blue was phenominal.

I just ordered it from Amazon. They said it’ll ship on the 14th, but I don’t know if I can wait that long now!!

Hey Suz, I read Deep Blue and it blew me away, totally. I had read The Beast Within and Third Sight but this one surpassed them in some ways. The research had to be thrilling. I can’t swim myself but love to read books about people who can. Wish the next PAX League was due out soon. Looking forward to what’s in store next. Hugs.

What’s scary is that I don’t truly understand three act structure. I write by instinct. I’ve always been afraid to study the craft of writing too closely. Might spoil the magic.
Thank you, guys, for all the nice comments!

Oooh! I’ve got to get to those 2 books soon. They’re both sitting here but…
I’m blaming everything on my stupid move. I wish I had never had to make it. It’s fouled up everything. :loser:
The reviews are awesome. I just want to read. And people ask me “Why?”
