It’s spring break!!!! We’re having a blast–how about you? It’s SPRING!!!! And we are having a real Girl Power week with my best friend from kindergarten, Mary, and her daughter, Maddy, visiting at the farmhouse from Maryland!!! Isn’t that the coolest? Mary and I were best friends till junior high when I moved away, but we stayed in touch through letters and later email–and now she’s here! This is the first time we’ve seen each other in 25 years and we are having SO MUCH FUN!!! What are we doing this week?

Porch sitting and talking, talking, TALKING……..and…………..

Driving down country roads (and talking)–isn’t spring in West Virginia gorgeous? And….

Hiking down to the awesome cave near the farmhouse (and talking)………and…………

Playing football in the yard…..and catching salamanders in the creek…………(and talking)……..and………playing with kittens and bunnies………(and talking)………and MORE TALKING!

Is she adorable OR WHAT?

Sweet six-year-old Maddy is asking today’s Free Book Friday question!!! For your pick from my autographed backlist, what character is Maddy’s favorite Disney heroine?

One winner will be chosen on Monday from those who guess the correct answer!

i wish i was with you guys just talking and not talking instead of being here ar work…

my guess for Mandy’s fave Disney Heroine _ Princess Jasmine.

  2. catslady says:

Oh I’m blank on disney characters – I’ll say cinderalla just cause I can’t think lol.

We’re going away for the weekend to visit my daughter up at college so I have to get out of here lol.

  3. Melissa says:

    Ariel

  4. Maureen says:

It looks like you are all having a wonderful time. I would guess that cute Maddie likes Ariel, the little mermaid.

  5. Becki says:

This weekend, our Ladybug (Emily) turns 9. My husband and a throwing a “girlie-girl” party. He wonders how two fashion-conscious challenged parents can have such a fashion-oriented darling.

Do Disney Channel heroines count? Then Kim Possible is the one. Kim is smart, a cheerleader, and supportive of her friends.

  6. Estella Kissell says:

So glad you are having a good visit with your friend.
    I think maybe Lilo.

  7. Tori Lennox says:

Sounds like you guys are having a great time! But… are you doing any TALKING??? :rotfl:

  8. Minna says:

My guess is Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

  9. Cindi says:

Oh I would have to say Mulan. What a wonderful heroine she is.

    Cindi

  10. Jennifer Yates says:

I was thinking Belle from Beauty and the Beast…tough question ’cause there are so many great ones to choose from.

  11. Lori says:

    My guess is Belle

    Have fun ….. talking

  12. Lis says:

My first thought is Ariel (and apparently is everyone else’s lol) but I’m thinking maybe Jasmine?

Looks like your having a good time 🙂

  13. ruby55 says:

My first thought was Mulan so I’ll go with that, though Maddy looks a little too young. But, hey, what do I know about Disney characters? :bananadance:

Nice to get back together with friends you haven’t seen for a while especially if they’re good friends. I’ve had one friend since Kidergarten, i.e., the German nursery school. We met when we were three. We wrote each other a lot but now, since she has no computer, we telephone the other on birthdays and take turns at Christmas.:blahblah:

  14. Cheryl S. says:

OK, just to be different & because my daughter liked her — Megara (Meg) from Hercules. 🙂

  15. Joyce says:

    I’ll say Cinderella.

  16. Ashley says:

Since no one has claimed her yet, I’ll say Aurora (Sleeping Beauty).

  17. Fannie M Wiggins says:

Why would I know about heroines? All my grandchildren are BOYS.:wall: I know Power Rangers, Bob the Builder, Thomas the Train and so forth. I am therefore selecting my favorite of all time, Tinkerbell. Now there is a heroine who has stood the test of time. Of course, I am probably wrong but that’s okay. Good luck everyone. Have a great weekend. I am taking a few days away so until next Thursday, hugs.

  18. Jeanette Jackson says:

    I’ll try Belle

  19. TeresaH says:

I’m going to be even more different and go with a female animal heroine—Lady, from Lady & the Tramp :hyper:

  20. Michelle says:

Great pictures! I’ll guess Snow White.

  21. Robyn says:

    Minnie Mouse

  22. Toni Anderson says:

    What sweeties!!

Ariel. Talking from experience with six year olds LOL!

  23. mary beth says:

Looks like you guys are having a blast, Suzanne. Enjoy your break! I’ve already got your backlist. 🙂

  24. Marcy says:

    I’ll say Snow White.

  25. Gina says:

I think its Snow White too!

  26. Laurie G says:

Boy, just to be different I’ll say Simba from The Lion King is Maddie’s favorite character.
